Put the screws back in on the gear side and was able to turn in with a large screw driver, was tight but turned.

I got it turn freely. Got some info from another site. Used some AT fluid and squirted some in and turned it until it spun freely by hand.

I realize this is a day late and a dollar short, but I was away from the internet.
The driveshaft shouldn't be tight unless it's trying to pump which will not happen if the solenoid isn't energized.
