I need a reinforce kit for my steering box but I have been unable to find any that are specified for 2wd use!? Does anyone know if I can use a 4wd reinforce kit on my 2wd??

Unfortunately my question isn't about wanting to or having to, my steering box has already ripped apart my frame and damage was done. I've had it welded and now I need a reinforce kit.

Depending on how you had it welded a brace is going to be nothing more than a band-aid.

You really need to just call-email these guys and ask. Chris is very helpful and knows his stuff:

Quality stuff, I run a lot of thier parts, including the brace....but my frame isnt-wasnt cracked.

I would think the kit for the 4wd should work on 2wd

Email may actually be faster... I have good turn around that way, usually <24hrs

The 2wd/4wd steering box mount area on the frame is identical but you may need to modify the patch for clearance of the 2wd suspension parts.

Chris contacted me Friday afternoon letting me know he had the brace specifically for a 2wd and had never actually put it on his site. He just made live and available for purchase and I ordered it today.

Thanks everyone.
