I am looking to two tone just the top on my 79. And I’m not really sure of the correct color combinations that was used with my truck. Neutral and Santa Fe? Idk. Any help would be appreciated. I’m sorry if this has been asked or posted before. Truck color is Dark Carmine. Thanks for the help!

Clearest ones I could find
https://www.paintscratch.com/ is where I get my paint from, they have the colors listed with code and better examples.

Mine for example was ZY2 for conventional two tone than 65L with 65 buckskin 60 Santa Fe listed in the description I don't know if specific combos had codes

Thanks I will have a closer look at these codes at the Paint and Lacquer store tomorrow. So I guess it would be called conventional two tone. I’m leaning more towards the Santa Fe color. My interior is all camel. So idk, I think the Frost White would clash and be to bright white. Here’s the interior.

This is Santa Fe (roof) is more off-white/cream colored and the buckskin is the rest of the truck and more of a tan/sand color which is probably closer to the color of your dash pad.

I like that color combination. Did GM ever use Buckskin as a secondary color for the top and sides or was it only used for the main body

The X’s in the chart are for interior color choices.
Here is a link to the 1979 truck information kit.

My 76 is a factory Rosedale red and buckskin truck, buckskin being the secondary color.

Here is the un cropped chart.

I've seen it as a secondary color but almost always paired with Santa Fe, or one of the reds or browns

here is another 1979 chart with better scans of the names of GMC/ Chevy.

.and some such look similar,...so after 45 years of sun and any possible body panel transfers from similar, Carmels and Saddles may look a little bit similar,...so one would have to color match newly made paint back to what was the original desired color with something unseen by daylight. like inside the cab
