On the engine side of the tank selector switch bulkhead, where are the 4 wires going? I have one going to each tank sending unit, one going to the selector valve, and one that doesn’t go to anything, my gauge is stuck at empty. But if I’m cranking the engine over, the gauge slowly goes to 3 o’clock. Does this extra wire need to go to 12 volts?

One to each tank, one to the fuel gauge, one to positive and one to ground.
