1 ton to 1/2 ton?

Can you bolt on 1/2 ton suspension parts onto a one ton frame like you can a 3/4 ton frame I want to have a 1/2 ton crew cab truck I can't find any 3/4 ton srw trucks in virgina but I can find a lot of 1 ton drw trucks

I wouldn't see why not, just bolt on the front axle and rear axle, now 2wd might be tougher to do.

then of course brake lines, cables driveshaft etc. may need special conversion u joints and such or maybe change the transfer case or whatever you plan on.

4x4's all bolt up with leaf springs on the square bodies, as far as I know and guys use 1 ton axles under 1/2 tons and 3/4 tons all the time so why not?

now 1/2 ton springs don't bolt up to 3/4 or 1 ton setups and vice versa, mostly because of different length springs used. That can all be changed however.

I would love to have a half ton CC myself and or see one. I bet that thing would be a nice ride. :)
