Educate me on these 4th gear super hold kits

My 87 suburban with a th700r4 seems very "conservative" with shifts between third and fourth gear. I have 3.73 gears and am running 33s but even with the stock tires it seems to shift at the slightest incline when in most cars it would have carried a lower rpm for much longer. So I'm looking for...

    87 Suburban front brake lines

No that's a typo, I registered for site before buying and originally was looking at a 2500. Mine is a 1500 with 6 lug wheels, my biggest concern with all of this was the suspension kit and exhaust I just bought but the part numbers are the same for all years 71 to 87 so eh if the brakes lines...

    87 Suburban front brake lines

No I just bought the truck a month or so ago and am admittedly new to square body chevy's. What would I be looking for to identify the front axle. The petina on it does not at all stand out as if it has any different age or was from a different vehicle. If it wasn't for these brake lines nothing...

    87 Suburban front brake lines

I can buy that but what I don't buy is that the frame does not have the hex shaped hole it should have and the bracket the line mounts to where it meets the hard line are riveted to the frame and none of that looks altered at all.

    87 Suburban front brake lines

It is 7/16 so I guess that makes it the old style, but can anyone answer why or how that could be!? I could see if they changed from 86 to 87 but if that style ended in 78 how did my 87 end up with it?

    87 Suburban front brake lines

Ok so prepping for my lift and ordered stainless extended brake lines, bought a tough country lift but got rough country brake lines part #89360S. By all accounts that is the right part number but when I look at my brake lines they looks just like the lines they sell for the 73-78. Can anyone...

    Rust Removal on wheel

Hey all, just got my wheels back from sand blasting and the kid did an eh job but where the 2 pieces of the wheels meet on the face there is a crevis that has some rust in it. Any suggestion on what to get in there to get at it? Wirewheel isn't doing much to it so need to go another route in the...

    Temp Gauge barely moves

Hey all, new square body owner here with a 87 V10 Burb, vehicle is in great overall shape but suffers from some nagging issues much like I did when I approached 30 years old. So one of my issues is the temp gauge barely moves, come up just a hair off the 100 mark and settles in there...

New Square Body Owner in CT

Hey all, just picked up an 87 V10 Suburban, car just came across country from CA and the undercarriage is spotless. Body is straight but has its share of lumps and bumps, interior is super clean, all in all a true survivor truck compared to everything I looked at in the northeast. Already...

Inner Cab Heater/AC Housing Reference Pics

Ok so I know this is an old post but hoping some people in the know are a still watching it. Considering buying 1990 K2500 Suburban, body is decent no rust, clean lift, nice tires but then there is this: And this: No factory HVAC parts that I can see maybe some stuff under dash but...
