    Does that mean the rad support and fenders were bolted together first? Then once the hood was square they would bolt the fenders at the back on each side?

    I have similar issues, about to buy a new circuit board for my 78 k10. I have a spare 82 cluster but LMC says they are different boards.

    This is a good idea. I have a similar skewed issue on the right side of my 78 k10. No accidents but since every body part and the core support have been removed for various metal work. I assume the rear bumper is also a good reference point? How did the factory measure or square during assembly?

    Is that true on the 87+? My r10 swb is a Silverado and has the YE9 code. My lock strip is black. Also bought some blazer sliding rear windows from a 1990 (one my original ones was broken) and they had black lock strips.

    I just replaced mine yesterday, maybe an hour or so job. On a 78 k10, with tilt column. Agree with lock tighting the bolts for the tilt portion. They are e-torx, reverse torx. You will need another puller. I can take a pic of mine if you need a reference.

    Again, I'd go 86 if you plan to replace the TBI with aftermarket FI. Also note the TBI intake is on 2 barrel not 4 like a standard quadrajet.

    I have an 87 swb with tbi and 350 factory. I like having fuel injection and I just drive the truck. Nothing crazy, get in turn the key and go. If you plan on hot rodding and have many sbc performance parts I think the easy option is the 86. Good luck.

    Actually just looking at both rods. They both measure about 30" to the first hole. Maybe they are the same?
