    ring & pinion

Has anyone had any experience with a Richmond Excel ring & pinion? I am also considering USA Standard. Some reviews state the Richmond Excel is noisy, so this has me leaning towards the USA Standard.

    Rebuild or swap

I'll be beefing up the th350c & save some dollars. Its a truck for cruzin, not a racer. I'd be curious if anyone has a mild performance 350 engine with a th350 behind it's opinion.

    It's a 2:73 ratio not 2:9?

    Rebuild or swap

My C10 has the stock 2:9?, but I can change that accordingly. I'm in the process of putting together a 350-400hp 350. And I'm gathering this info. to stay with the th350c or change to a 700r4. The truck is only driven occationally, it's not a DD. I'm leaning towards beefing up the th350c...

    Rebuild or swap

If i swap my th350c to a 700r4 is there noticeable fuel mileage increase? I'm considering to rebuild the th350c or swap it for a 700r4. If there's only 2-3 mpg increase, I'm not sure if a swap is worth the effort.

    Gm 350 #10067353

The HP gain is approximately 30hp & TQ is 15 ft lbs. I will be visiting the local machine shop. For their input.

    Gm 350 #10067353

Well after some research, Ill be staying with the original GM crate engine #10067353 with the Comp Cams 12-235-2. Using the GM crate engine #12530283 with a mild Comp Cam only produces 5% gain in HP & TQ at a greater cost. Aden

    Gm 350 #10067353

Tim, I didn't think this engine would fit into my truck. I'll check into this to see if it will. Aden.

    Gm 350 #10067353

Oh & the 305 is running the Qjet. This may be rebuilt & used. Depending on a rebuilder or my time if I'm doing it.

    Gm 350 #10067353

There is a local machine shop in my town & i will be inquiring to see what the cost is to have a 350 done to my specs. But by swapping in this cam the GM crate engine will have what I am looking for, which was 350 HP & 350 to. Funds are limited & the th350 trans. needs to be rebuilt. Plus the...

    Gm 350 #10067353

Zach, For the money I'm only gonna swap out the cam. I don't think you could build a 350 for this cost. I'm thinking it will be more.

    Gm 350 #10067353

Most likely I'll use the 12-235-2 cam only. And i'll replace or rebuild the th350C. (700r4) I'll use a Eldelbrock intake with a 600-650 carb, should be plenty. Aden

    Gm 350 #10067353

I'm in the research stage of replacing my 305 with a 350 into a '85 C-10. I would like to be around 350 hp & 350 tq. Any thoughts on the GM 350 crate engine # 10067353 and replace the heads with a set of vortec heads. (polished) Or should I replace the cam also? Does anyone have any experience...

    Grease

With synthetic the container reads the operating tempeture is -40degrees to 395 degrees. And standard is 0 degrees to 360 degrees. But both have a drop point at 500 degrees. To my understanding of this synthetic operates better during lower temps. Any who, had some synthetic laying around and...

I'm restoring/building the front suspension of my '85 C-10. Would synthetic grease be better or stay with the standard grease? (ball joints, wheel bearings, tie rods, etc.)

    Couple questions

Questions I believe I can run historical registration and it's a one time inspection. Once I do this I'd like to do the mentioned work. A few local guys say I need the cats or I'll have motor issues in the future. I think this only pertains to the newer LS motors. So nothing will need to be...
