    I appreciate the reply, I have notched the flywheel bolt holes out. The problem is the curvature of the 5.3 flywheel. I was hoping somebody else has run into this issue with a K10 or 700R4

    Torque converter options

    I think my torque converter is going out. All the symptoms are there. I was wondering what everyone has been using. I have an '85 K10 with a crate 350/300hp engine, 700R4 (jasper trans) I don't really want to spend a ton of money on a torque converter, but I don't want to buy junk either.

    My driver side (left) header appears to be hitting my leafspring. I have an occasional rattle sound under certain driving conditons. Has anyone ever experienced this? If so, what precautions did you take?

    I'm hoping to tear the rest of the way into mine tonight. If I shredded a bearing (like I think I did) I"ll just rebuild mine. I found a couple of good rebuild kits from MOTIVE GEAR. If anyone has anymore or better suggestions, I'm all ears!

    awesome thanks. I just found the thread talks about all this. I'm wondering if I just replace these old bulbs with new ones would make the difference I want. The whole no dimmer thing kind of has me bothered.

    I just replaced my dash pad last weekend and rather not screw up a good thing. It was a used one (not much flexibility) I installed it crack free. I"m affraid if I pull it back out, it'll crack somewhere.

    I've added a coolant temp and oil pressure gauge to my 85 K10. I want the new gauge lights to come on when my gauge cluster panel lights come on. Does anyone know which wire that is? My hanes manual says "dark green". I can get my meter on it, just being lazy...

    So how is your heater core return hose ran? My truck was attached to the radiator, I moved it to the pump to see if it would make a difference. It did not.

    The stat I pulled out was a 195 deg but I replaced with a 180deg F. I bought the truck with a GM crate engine.     I have replaced the thermostat, thinking I had a faulty stat from the beginning. I've even re-routed the heater core return to go directly back to pump instead of the radiator, bypassing the stat.
