    I may end up just selling the C20. I bought as a spare pickup for dump runs, etc. It needs a new or rebuilt engine soon (smokey, burning oil) but I would like to get it drivable first.

    That carb looks like an Edelbrock replacement for the Q-jet. I have one on my '72 Chevelle, model 1910 if I recall. Nothing short of locating the tag and casting stamps will prove or disprove my theory. Pic of said Chevelle carb attached. As to your smoke issues, I think you'll have to solve...

    New to the forum, but not to square body trucks. Currently have a 1984 C20 Custom Deluxe and have previously owned a '78 GMC Jimmy and a '73 C20 Cheyenne Super. 2003 GMC Sierra 2500HD is my daily driver. Looking for help in troubleshooting some of the quirks on this '84 C20. Thanks in advance!
