    Gas Gauge Problems Continue

This just isn't normal or close to normal fluctuations. This is like it's tied to the throttle.

    Gas Gauge Problems Continue

Maybe it just wasn't meant to be, a working gas gauge. I ended up going with a Holley Sniper and replaced the fuel tank with a LMC Fuel Injection tank kit #32-5984 that comes with a"floatless" cylinder sender and other items required for the change. Figured I'd finally have a working gas...

    Printed Circuit Question 79 K10

I bought one of those circuit boards from LMC and was very disappointed in the quality. Typical Chinese junk. After I installed it 1/2 the lights didn't work. Found nothing was really wrong with my old one so I just cleaned it up and reinstalled. I'd do whatever it took to get your original...

Want to build a good horsepower, good fuel economy engine for a 1978 c20 with stock 350. I don't know much and need help.

I applaud your effort and want to give you some advice. Although I am a total SBC novice I know this has been true for the vehicles I've worked on in the past. Find a reputable vendor and talk to them about what you want to achieve within your budget. They should be able to put together a...

    LMC EFI Tank Sender problem

I guess you missed in my post #3 that I had just replaced the gauge and already had tested it to make sure it worked. Oh well...

    LMC EFI Tank Sender problem

You didn't embarrass me in the least RP, you just ticked me off. I was referring to the post from SquareRoot in jest. I did everything you suggested before you suggested, read my response to your post #5 with my post #6.

    LMC EFI Tank Sender problem

So you really want to embarrass me? It turned out to be the gauge. And... the reason why I wasn't getting a reading from the senders after replacing the gauge... Not enough gas in tank, but that's another story...:33:

    LMC EFI Tank Sender problem

You are quite the bully RP I have done everything you have suggested, several times over. May not have described the tests to your satisfaction but I'm not loosing any sleep over it. Found the issue and the problem is now fixed. I'm no rookie myself, having started wrenching about 50 years...

    LMC EFI Tank Sender problem

There must be some disconnect in the way I am explaining myself. Apologies if you've taken offense. I have repeatedly said I have checked resistance using a ohm meter and both senders check out fine. Easy to do on these. I also checked in a bucket of water (hooked to an ohm meter) to make sure...

    LMC EFI Tank Sender problem

There is no arm on these "floatless" senders. As stated previously, I have already checked both senders with an ohm meter. Both are fine. I also have checked the replacement sender and replacement gauge and they work as they should when connect to the pink wire and ground. Empty to Full.

    LMC EFI Tank Sender problem

I just tested the original sender in a bucket of water hooked up to an ohm meter and it worked fine. 0 empty and 82 full.

    LMC EFI Tank Sender problem

Thanks Good ground and gauge works fine. The gauge is a replacement with the internal resister.

    LMC EFI Tank Sender problem

I recently purchased a LMC EFI Tank kit, #32-5984. Install went well until it came to the fuel gauge reading. When I fill up its only showing 1/4 tank and this goes to 0 quickly. Checked gauge and it works as it should. Disconnected pink wire from sender, needle goes to 3 o'clock position...

    Fuel tank to Gauge wiring

Do you know what year these are from? Mine definitely has a pink wire coming from the sender, this shows Tan/White. Wouldn't think they'd change colors?

    Fuel tank to Gauge wiring

    Fuel tank to Gauge wiring

Having a terrible time tracking down a potential wiring issue with my gas gauge / sender. I have the manual but just can't seem to read the diagrams very well. I found the gauge in the wiring diagram and see the 3 contacts but can't figure out were it goes from there. No tach but do have Oil...

    Anybody try Poppy Patina?

Thanks, That's odd because I watched an official Poppy Patina YouTube video and they are demonstrating this on an old Lexus with pealing clear coat???

    It's alive - Blue Print + 700R4

Transmission is back in and working like it should. I guess whoever did Summits rebuild had a terribly off day. So far I'm very happy with the results. Still have a few small things to do but after about 300 miles its promising. The added horsepower and the addition of a 4th gear have really...

    It's alive - Blue Print + 700R4

Well had a setback the other day. Finalizing the testing we determined that the transmission just wasn't acting right. After much deliberation and zero help from Summit we yanked the transmission and sent it to a local shop for inspection. Still waiting on results, will keep y'all informed.

    It's alive - Blue Print + 700R4

After too many months I picked up my truck last Friday for a test run. Ended up driving it for a 100 or so miles last weekend before returning it to the shop with my short list of questions and concerns. Backstory is my desire to get more than 10 mpg and wanting to take my truck, now named...
