    A lot of people out here want to do a diesel swap , But with all the Cali. diesel smog crap , most of them are choosing the LS route ,there are a lot Cummins 4BT's available for sale here right now ,but no one wants to try to EXEMPT them

    Tons of mud Just a little update ,in the next week or so the dam control is dumping all the water out for repairs , any one local to the area should come check out all the mud action , by july 4th weekend there should be some crazy full throttle mud runs

    I should have stated that at the time I had it exempted i sawpped in a GM 6.2l diesel then to the cummins, as a side note at the time it was exempted the vehicle weight was dropped to 1/2 ton status , less weight fees , not sure how that happened

    Question for the NV4500 swaper's

    I did the 5 speed swap on mine from a 4 speed SM465 ,not much cutting at all ,I just made a simple sheet metal cover for the original hole & used silicone and pop rivets to hold it down ,after the swap I found some decent junk yard carpet to cover it all up

    I have a 83' chevy K20 with a 4BTA ,it has bigger inlectors , a HX35 turbo , & some pump mods , has about same power as the mild 454 that it replaced ,+ 22-23 MPG, was a factory 5.7L gas motor truck , I took it to the local DMV and they exempted it ,no more smog

    the NV4500 "DOUBLER" is what i swapped into my 83' K20, it came from the factory with a 700R4/NP208,then i went to a T350/NP205,then to a hydro clutch SM465/NP205 , and now the 5 speed doubler behind a Cummins , most of these trans swaps are fairly easy, just a matter of collecting all the parts
