    Distributor replacement

Anyone have a good video on doing a distributor replacement. I've never done one and would like to see it before I attempt. Mostly how to mark the rotor position during removal. The shop manual says the pull up then rotate it CCW and remove it. Does that mean you mark where it sits when it's...

    Trailer wiring

I was able to wire the harness up and borrowed a friend's trailer and it worked flawlessly. We went and bought our own trailer...same make and model and size...and now whenever we use the trailer it blows the 15A hazard fuse in the engine box. Lol such is life. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

    Fluctuating oil pressure

I haven't gotten around to toying with the truck at all. Will probably look at it today if I get all of the things on my hunny-do list done Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

    Trailer wiring

It's a 2016 Subaru forester. I think after 2009 they pit these wiring harnesses in behind the rear side interior panel. I've figured out the turn signals and I think I'm gunna just tap into one of the wires that's always hot for the running lights. The good thing is that this is a dedicated...

    Trailer wiring

In a last ditch effort to make it up to the 49 mile hunt I installed a hitch receiver on my wife's car to pull the trailer and quad up. Now, it's a subaru *pause for laughter*. Now that we got that out of our system heres my question: Subaru has a hidden away "tow package" harness for hooking...

    Truck only starts in Neutral

So the other day I went to start my truck and nothing. Shifted it to reverse and back to park...starts right up. I had to do that for a half dozen times or so before it wo ull ldnt start even doing that. So I shifted it to neutral and itll start right up. I know theres a position sensor on the...

    Fluctuating oil pressure

As far as I can tell dipstick does not smell like FUEL. Smells like oil. Now that the engine is cool the oil on the dipstick is back at the full level. The oil has normal consistency. EDITED so I dont sound totally retarded

    Fluctuating oil pressure

Fuel pump was already changed out. All in all I've done fuel pump, line from pump to carb, fuel filter, vacuum lines, spark plugs, leads, valve covers, oil change, replaced manifold with headers.

    Fluctuating oil pressure

I have a several back ups. I'll cut into it when I get home and let you know. Wasn't thin nor do I remember any noticeable smell of gas. I think the problem was the guy that I bought from overfilled the oil (same dude that zip tied ignition leads to exhaust). One of the spark plugs did have a...

    Fluctuating oil pressure

New fuel filter. The symptom disappeared after the oil change (removed almost 7 quarts...way too much) and no is showing back up (checked oil when I got home and was just above "add"). Cant be a coincidence, can it?

    Fluctuating oil pressure

So a little more info. I've been struggling with a sort of stuttering issue under load. I swapped out the spark plugs and the leads. Didnt fix it. Did an oil change and it seemed to have fixed it. Drove into Fairbanks (about 20 miles away) and everything was okay. After getting wood and driving...

    Fluctuating oil pressure

So I'm not sure if this is even an issue. I'm going to get wood and while driving to the site my oil pressure is fluctuating. While cold its reading about 40 on the dash. After it warms up it drops to 30 while under load but at idle (like at a red light) it goes down to around 15. Is this...

    Custom bed

I assume you meant the truck pulling the camper? She is a beaut. I wonder how hard it would be to implement a roll out ramp for my quad....hmmmmmm

    General Parts Question

So obviously there are more players in the game but generally speaking, locally available parts are from one of 4 manufacturers besides napa brand: AC Delco, Cardone, Raybestos, and Centric. I try to go Napa brand as much as possible but sometimes they get a wild hair up their ass and decide...

    Custom bed

So after examining my truck some I realized that the bed is starting to rust out at some of the bolt connections. Yes, I have the knowledge and capabilities to repair this BUT I also think it'd be dope to have a custom bed. So with that in mind, do y'all have some photographic inspiration for...

    Replacing rotors

Sweet. Sounds simple. I had just peeked at a few you tubes about brake jobs in general and it seems everyone avoided doing it like the plague. I just have a thing about knowing how long I've been running certain components on my vehicles and I figured if I was in there I may as well restart the...

    Replacing rotors

Hey all, I'm trying to wrap my head around rebuilding the front brakes of my truck. I have an '82 K10 that I got for $500 so Im not to the point of dropping big dough on everything. Essentially Im thinking of replacing front calipers, rotors, pads and bearings. I'd like to salvage the hubs if...

    What's up from way up.

Hey all. Just a chick with a truck in Alaska. Use it for doing Alaska things like gathering firewood, hauling quads to hunts and carcasses back home. I know enough to fix things but I also know that some of you are walking Chevy encyclopedias. See you in the forums. Cheers!
