Best Flowmaster
I've always liked the sound of Flowmasters and all their variations. "Drone" has a lot to do with the exhaust setup, and little to do with the muffler itself IMO. I have a "FlowFX" on my '89 pickup and really like the sound. Had the same muffler on an S10 with the 4.3 and I swear it was the best...- SK 99

Oh I know exactly how you feel. This will be the first time in my life I've ever had a garage big enough to actually work in. But a small garage still beats no garage! It's just a bit shy of 22x22. The garage door is 16x7. It might be a little tight once I get all my stuff moved in, but still... -

Yes indeed! Whenever I decide to add a Corvette/Camaro/Chevelle/Nova/whatever else to the fleet that requires cover, I'm going to have a problem. At that point I guess I'll need to store something at your place lol -

Took some pictures with it! My beautiful fiancé @BN 99 wanted to get some engagement pics, and insisted that we include our vehicles (yeah, she's awesome). My sister-in-law (@bucket 's wife) just happens to be an excellent photographer, so it worked out really well. Here's a couple of them... -

Question about exhaust.
There are a lot of good options for a budget muffler. The FlowFX has a really good sound, IMO. Had one on my old S10 with a 4.3 and I have one on my '89 K1500 with a 350. Both completely stock, and I couldn't be happier with the sound. I can't wait to get the glasspacks off of my '85. It sounds...- SK 99

I decided to be a copycat. Thanks for the inspiration @Soundmound ...... I don't have it secured with a seatbelt, and don't really see the need honestly. It stays put pretty well. Makes a good armrest too! I found this red/white (gray?) cooler with the tray on ebay, and pulled the trigger... -

What new tools have you got lately?
I love Harbor Freight, but my brand new Bauer impact leaves a little to be desired. Couldn't break a lugnut loose, even with a full charge. I had to borrow @bucket 's Dewalt which did the trick without even breaking a sweat..... -
Batteries
100% agreed. I have never owned an Optima myself, but it seems like every person I know who bought one in the past regretted it. Expensive, overrated junk IMO. I used to think that the "name brand" batteries were the best. Interstate, Die Hard, Exide, Delco, etc. And maybe that was the case in...- SK 99

What did you pay for a square
I paid $8k for my '85 GMC short bed in fall of 2020....... Originally, this was a 305/automatic and was two tone red/white. A few years back it had any and all rust fixed and was repainted black by the previous owner. They also put in a 350 with an SM465, and 3/4 ton axles with 3.73...- SK 99

I think I sold it for $2200. But this was at least five years ago, well before covidflation pricing. There was a lot of rust, it needed a new exhaust, and the air conditioning didn't work. Awesome car though. It had a lot of Impala SS bits........- SK 99

Holy Grail of Squarebodys
I don't have a specific "holy grail" truck, but mine comes close to meeting all of my ideal criteria. It's a shortbed 4x4 with 3/4 ton axles and an SM465. I just wish it had a 454 (it's a 350) and wish it had the 70's front end. Other than that, it's pretty much perfect IMO.... And @bucket...- SK 99
