Truck wont go past 45 mph without cutting off

Carburetor Problem
Hi, i have a 1983 K10 square body with a 305 in it and i believe that the carburetor i have is the wrong carburetor as it is not cooperating with the truck i got this truck in may of last year in bad condition the previous owner didn't take care of it and blew up the transfer case we got that...- crazyman1018
