I'm going to be installing new fuel tanks in my 87 truck. Should I keep the plastic fuel tank covers or leave them off ?- sg5492

87 Short Bed Fuel Tanks
I have an 87 short bed 4x4 with dual tanks, its a fuel injection 305 (all stock). Looking to replace both the drivers and passenger side tanks. Have looked on RockAuto and the tanks and pumps don't look right. Does anyone know of another place to look for these items or the part number from...- sg5492

Hi, I'm John from Kansas. I've been a member for awhile but this is my first post. I have an 87 Chevy 4x4 short bed with a 2" lift. Just starting to restore it. I'll try to attach an older picture of it. I'll be starting with the fuel system soon and I'm sure I'll be asking some questions.- sg5492
