What have you done to your square lately??

Worked on merging my new DBW pedal with the factory pedal, ran out of welding gas 85% of the way done lol.

    Rust opinions

It's just that you're never going to be able to get the the backside of all the welds, you're never going to get perfect patches with it sitting on the frame. Even when I pulled my front clip, doors, dash, there's still places where I can see it was patched if I start crawling around. I spent...

    Rust opinions

I've posted this before, I've done rust repair on my cab. By the time I bought panels, consumables, and spent over a week doing a mediocre job, I could have driven literally anywhere in America and gotten a rust free cab, and had a awesome road trip to boot.

Who has rebuilt their vent windows?

Not sure if it's not all the way in in the corner or what, but the top is sticking out too far and theres a gap when the glass rotates shut at the top. I just started messing with it again the other day and got pissed off and put it up again lol.

Who has rebuilt their vent windows?

I still haven't finished it, can't seem to get the one side fully seated. I do have a heat gun, maybe I'll give that a shot.

nv4500 vs 400turbo with gearvenders od!

The GV OD ratio is .78:1, without a locking converter of course. A NV4500, Chevy, is .73:1, with full clutch lockup. A 4L80E is .75:, with a locking clutch, and you don't have to shift it.

US General Tool Carts, Tool Chests, Tool Cabinets

Maybe I should actually read that thing then lol. I really do appreciate that, but I'm still out of work so I'll have to save up for a tool box anyway. I just want to be able to plan ahead for it. Turns out I need to look at my mail lol.

    Aftermarket trans crossmembers

I am also lol. I don't mind throwing a few dollars the little guy's way, as long as I feel I'm not being taken advantage of. Like, some people import stuff, or knock it off, or just squeeze people. THose people, I have absolutely no problem undercutting. Scotty goes out of his way to put...

    Aftermarket trans crossmembers

I've not seen the CPP one in person or anything, but I really wouldn't trade my Tejas one. I have no regrets, I went from N/A with dumps and a TH350 to Turbo with a 4L80E to N/A with a 4L80e and full exhaust and it's accommodated all of those combos easily. Also, he's pretty focused on our...

    1982 Suzuki GS1100G "Preppercycle"

Parts are starting to come in, got my shocks today, so I can make some progress fitting things up and getting all the brackets where I need them before pulling the engine. I also got my stand video completed, it's not pretty, but it was cheap,

    1982 Suzuki GS1100G "Preppercycle"

Today I got the new shock mounts tacked in, more brackets ground off, and mocked the seat up to get an idea of where the hoop will need to land in the end. 20181114_202714 by Marvin Gunn, on Flickr

Did you use a wire in all the little passages? Mine had a lot of gunk and poo in them, even after sitting overnight in Chemdip.

    1982 Suzuki GS1100G "Preppercycle"

My videos run a little behind my actual progress, it's stripped of the harness and carbs now, tomorrow I intend to pull the engine and tear it down to the bare frame for powdercoat.

Sm465 locked up in granny gear

Like I said, I had one that did that every so often. I never got to the bottom of why. I'm sure there was something wrong, but I never knew lol.

    Whatcha ridin?

I've had a ton of bikes, but never really "built" one, just bought them and rode them around for awhile. Had a 91 FXR, a 70's 2 stroke Suzuki, a shaft driven Honda with a weird sideways V twin, an 06 Street Bob, a CB750, a KZ1000, a CB550. Lol, I just like to ride, most recently I picked up a...
