I had the same thing happen to me with a backpack I used when hiking. Flew in with it, but flying out TSA found a knife in one if the little pouches inside. Luckily I too had time to leave security and ship it home before my flight left. Was going camping one time and took a propane stove... -
What have you done to your square lately??
Had to replace a U joint on the CUCV. Picked up a vibration after plowing snow last week, though it was just the snow and ice built up in the wheels throwing them out of balance. After it warmed up and the snow melted it was still there, then clunked when I put it in gear. Parked it right away... -

The problem is that TSA is not consistent from one Airport to another. I have flown out with items in my bag, but was not allowed to fly back with the same items, and arguing with them does no good. On a one way trip it's no problem if they let you bring my, but sucks when you can't bring your... -

You will have to check any tools, they are not allowed in carry on luggage. Also, no oil, aerosols ( WD 40, brake clean, spray paint, etc. ), or flameables. Your checked bag can usually weigh up to 50 pounds, so you can carry quite a bit. Pick up the oil and stuff when you get there. A pair... -

made that from scraps, version 2 will have room for 2 cups, possibly a phone. Just wanted to see if my holes were big enough for a fast food cup but still hold a can or water bottle without it falling out. Still in the R&D phase -

CUCV has a nice bracket under the dash pad to mount radio gear. This is my first try, gonna make some modifications and see if I can mount it after the dash pad is back on. -

What new tools have you got lately?
Yeah, I have 2 Makitas also, one is probably 30 years old. It's just nice to have one with a cutoff wheel, one with a grinding wheel, and one with a flap disc, and possibly one with a wire brush, when fabbing something out of old metal, so I am not changing discs every few minutes. -

I've had a few of those $9.99 grinders, not bad for the money. Had a couple burn up the motors, but they were used hard. One had the switch crap out, but I was able to salvage a switch from one with a bad motor. I see they have replaced them with a different one now, wonder how the new ones... -

On 110 volts its about 5/8", on 220 just under an inch. Doesn't cut as clean when near the max according to tnd reviews I read, but does great at a little thinner than max. I'll find out for sure in a couple of days. I think tne non HF has to dk with it striking the arc. I This machine is... -

Got the new fuel tank straps in and installed on the CUCV. Was going to drop the tank and clean it out, but it was too cold out and snow comin, so I just did the straps. I'll drop the tank when it warms up and clean it out and replace the hoses. -

Put a reciever hitch on the CUCV a while ago, but the original pintle hitch was in the way and made it hard to connect to my small utility trailer. Finally decided to remove the pintle hitch since I don't use it anyways. Looked like a simple job, just 6 bolts, although they were kind of hard... -

Finally finished swapping out the rectangular fuel filter for a spin on. Have to get the CUCV ready for winter, it's been sitting all summer. Removed the battery booster resistor (CUCV only item), it's not needed unless you want to use the NATO port to jump your truck, since I don't know... -
