    I'm at a loss..

A few things come to my mind of things I would look at adjust. Axle bearings bad, out of adjustment, bent tube, etc transferring heat to brakes? Rent/ borrow a pressure gauge and check pressure at wheel cylinders. Record the temps from your laser temp and measure the backing plate temps at...

    Recommend me a cheap

I knew a guy and have seen others that get a free used dishwasher and hook it up to recycle the fluid. Plug it in, set the cycle and come back with parts clean.

Can you physically move the PS pump or alt fore/aft by hand?

Alternator and power steering belts keep coming off

No other changes other than heads? Did you add headers by any chance and not install the stabilizer bracket? Do you have the back bracket on the p/s pump? Once you have everything lined up, I'd put an indicator and check the run-out, ensure pulley isn't bent or out of round. Make sure...

    Door panel recommendation

I don't think usa1 actually manufactures their own but I may be wrong. I've been told and believe there are 2 different manufactures or types in China that make them all and supply the industry. An ABS molded version and a plastic injection molded. I don't remember which is which as far as...

80 C10 "Nemo" Build - Started as: Front frame buckled…

I fully agree. Drums usually get better stopping power, better handling, and better mpg. Their only real weakness is rain/ mud and people that can't figure out how to change them. Once you invest in some basic tools, they're pretty easy.

    Vent Window/Back Window Questions

I'd buy a brand new rear slider and install myself in an hour. They are available in both 3 pane and 4 pane for $300-400. Or remove your factory slider and install a used fixed glass window while you rebuild and swap out. They aren't that hard to install yourself. For the vent windows, there is...

1973 K5 Blazer full removable top a little high but is it rare???

The one I really want is the CJ10. It's a full size CJ truck but wasn't sold in the US other than a military plane tug version.

1973 K5 Blazer full removable top a little high but is it rare???

I had one of those 1002 1967 Z28's. It was incredibly solid and i regret selling it. It came with both the crossram intake and the standard as well as a bunch of other rare z28 parts in the trunk.

Movie filming in OKC next week needs old trucks

Most trucks in Oklahoma are stationary, its the houses that have wheels there. Relax, just a joke.

Movie filming in OKC next week needs old trucks

Compensation is a bit light at $10hr plus $50 for the truck. Less than $200 for you and the truck for 12 hours.

I wouldn't cut it off. I'd drill it out and set it aside just in case or to pass along to someone who might need it.

Who is or has run a 307?

I'd run the 307, but definitely swap a small 4 barrel or preferably a quadrajet on it. I believe with the appropriate 4 barrel, you'll get better mileage, throttle response, and more power.

    K20 pulling 19k lbs...

My '90 Squarebody CC DRW is rated to tow 13k. If I were to tow a trailer that weighed more than that regardless whether its 5th wheel, bumper, or gooseneck and get in an accident, I'd most likely be at fault regardless as I exceeded the weight ratings of the vehicle. As far as a Cad 500...

80 C10 "Nemo" Build - Started as: Front frame buckled…

You are not wrong for suggesting an aftermarket chassis on a full build that has decent money into it. By the time you buy all the modern suspension, axles, brakes, and fool around with a 50 year old frame; you are more than halfway to the $20k. If you are doing a bagged truck, it makes even...

    Adjuster tool for drum brakes

Yes, technically auto adjust when you brake in reverse. However, they seem to stop adjusting after the linings wear a bit and dirty up the threads on the adjuster.

Yep, that truck is worthy of a frame swap.

    Drip Rail Starting to Detach

I'd start by tightening the screws. Since you are only snugging up a bit you should be able to get an open-ended wrench in. Other than cosmetics, I don't think you'll notice a difference. If you decide to take off, you'll need to pull the chrome/ SS trim off the actual drip rail and then you...
