    Unable to find these relays

Start in the Reference section of this Forum, there’s a 1980 wiring diagram there. It’s extensive, but you’ll need to learn it if you plan on doing your own repairs.

    Fuel tank brackets

I installed new tanks & straps on my frame a few months ago. I had to use ratchet straps around the opposite frame rail to get the straps to conform around the tanks enough to start the nuts. It was tough, but they fit.

Fuel sending unit ports and Driveshaft

Yep, my ‘78 K20 has the slip yoke in the rear also. That’s a good pic of the original heat shield for the fuel lines discussed in another post also.

    Confusion on fuel and more.

Originally those trucks have a shield, but it was designed for 2 1/4” exhaust. This pic from another thread shows it.

    Pure SEX!

I love those cars, beautiful styling. That’s a decent price, but resto parts are outrageous. I owned one in 1983, bought it from my father’s boss. It was orange, saddle interior, 210hp, 4 speed, PS, PB. Not having AC, in the car with the T-tops & back window removed you looked cool, but from...

    Fuel Gauge Woes

    I don’t know for sure but from what I’ve read it’s a 90 ohm, 1w resistor.

Replacement capable Tcase for 1975 K10 passenger side drop

I’d like to add that short tail shaft you currently have on your TH400 won’t work with any other TC, it is for the 203 only.

Replacement capable Tcase for 1975 K10 passenger side drop

NP208, but it won’t work with the 203 adapter. A 205, if you can find one and afford it… Do a Search, there’s a lot of info on these case swaps

    Door Hinge Spring Replacement

On my ‘78 hinges the springs seemed OK, but both rollers were beyond repair. I just replaced the whole hinge on both sides.

Some squares for sale in my area.

This one got my attention yesterday, but you can never be sure till you actually see them. Vehicle titles can be a big problem in KY also. Don’t really have a place for it right now any way though.

    HOW GEAR OIL?

Way back we ran short track, 1/4 & 3/8 mile street stock cars. A Ford 9” was the perffered rearend. We’d weld a tall 1” vent about half way on the left side axle tube, then put a gallon of gear oil in it… this insured that the carrier bearings & ring/pinion gear stayed lubed throughout the race.

Coolant system woes on a truck from Ballard, WA.

Possibly the water pump impeller or clutch fan issues…

    Np208 transfer case brace

Those rods mount to plates behind the motor mounts and then to a heavy cast inspection cover on a 400TH transmission with the proper mounting holes. This pic shows the trans & cover but not the rods.

    Pulling Sucks--2001 Suburban 3/4 ton--6.0

When you’re loaded for a trip hit one of the CAT scales at a truck stop, it’s easy and will give you a true weight of your rig.

    Truck Size

I absolutely love new trucks. I’m a small guy, I get behind the wheel of my F-350 dually that’s 23’ long, almost 8’ wide, has 475hp, 10 speeds with over a 1000 ft lbs of torque and suddenly I’m Jack Reacher. :)

    350 to 454 in a K10: What Motor Mounts?

My ‘78 K20 has them, and appear to be factory installed.

    Painting rally wheel rim

The wheel has been sand blasted so just a wipe off with some cleaner will be fine before painting.. If you’ve got a can of the correct color to match your other wheels that’s plenty to paint the spare wheel. I would use some spray primer first.

    350 to 454 in a K10: What Motor Mounts?

I don’t know the particular years but some 4x4 trucks got 1/4” plates between the clam shells and the engine, they supplied a mounting point for transmission braces. These plates can affect the mount and engine alignment.

    Fusible link burned.

Ohms Law came into play… The lights were left on so when the battery voltage dropped the amperage suppling the headlight circuit started to climb… Now what exactly this affected is in question, maybe some wiring got hot and burned together somewhere?

    Oil sending unit hole issue

There are sockets made for them if you can’t get vise grips on it.

    34 inch tirers speedometer reading

From what I understand the external calibration box is required to achieve the proper ratio between the transfer case and speedometer, GM used it for a reason. They are available, but pricey $$. https://www.transfercasesolutions.com/online-store/Speedometer-Calibration-Box-p613167600

Older badge on 86 K10? Or metal 80’s era badges?

There’s a lot of re-pop badges out there, also designs you can customize, I don’t have any idea about the quality of them though. I want something there on the fender just not sure what yet. Here’s a example: https://hhclassic.com/c-755732-truck-emblems-fender-emblems.html

    Truck Size

One place the tall bed sides really comes into play is with a fifth wheel camper. Getting enough clearance between the bed and camper over hang is crucial. When I went to a dually it actually sat about two inches lower than the single rear wheel truck I had previously.
