Anyone who doesnt have a service manual read this.

I found an actual shop manual for my 84 GMC on ebay, fairly cheap. Pages are falling out, but l love it. Just wish some of the images/drawings in it weren't so dark, but it's better than nothing.

    Bubbling fuel filter

Question for you all. Just got home, and noticed my fuel filter is bubbling. I never noticed it doing this before, but am wondering if there's anything I can do to prevent this? I don't notice any changes in performance driving wise, but just concerned. I have a piece of rubber fuel line around...

    Relocating fuse block

I used to have a 73 Dodge D200 pickup and it had the best location for the fuse box that I have seen. The glove box door was on top, and when it was open, the block was right there on the left side

    Vintage Gas Door Covers

Maybe have a sheet metal shop make them? I used to have a 65 Suburban and the body to bumper seal on the rear was originally a fiber material. No one repopped them so I took a sample to my local HVAC shop, told them what I needed and they made me one out of stainless, then I painted it to match...

Plastic door panel - thoughts / what I did

Mine looked like that from sitting in the hot Phoenix sun. Since my truck is a driver, I used a razor blade to scrape off the "dead" skin, lightly sanded them and painted with Krylon Fusion. 4 years and they're holding up ok

    Door panel recommendation

has anyone used their dash cover? I'm curious about them, for $121.

    73 C10 Factory Hubcap Options

Just an idea. Check hubcaps.com They usually show what caps were used for different years. I'm probably going to have to use them for some "new" used caps for my 84 C2500

Major Score !… NOS Center Caps

The last set of NOS caps I bought were in the 90's. I put a set of 5 lug rally wheels on my 65 Suburban, and bought some at Brown & Brown Chevrolet in Mesa, AZ. $200 for the set. Hurt at the time but was glad I got them

Unfortunately it looks like I don't have anywhere to mount it to the block. Apparently aftermarket blocks don't have a mount point on them for a starter brace.

    Starter questions

I've never seen a starter mounting like the 2nd one. That looks like what I need for mine

So here's some pics of what I'm dealing with. The bolts are correct, and I'm pretty sure the brace will work, but I don't see a place to mount the brace on the block. The only bolt head I see is a drain plug for the block. The engine is an aftermarket 350 so obviously they don't put mounts for...

I was hoping to get the oil pan gasket replaced with my one piece gasket after wife's surgery but still trying to find the time between working full time, and making sure she's comfortable They are actual starter bolts. I won't use anything but the right bolts in any application I need to get...

I've already had one bolt break off in the block, but it came out real easy. I'll check it later today to make sure both bolts are tight. I have some anti seize to put on them as well

Need photo of mounting arrangement for driveshaft center bearing

I'm using my iPhone SE to get my pics, and so far(knock on wood, my head), they have all been the right size. As far as downsizing pics, I couldn't tell you. Sorry

UPDATE: I just went out and started it, and it did the same thing, but not as harsh. I did replace the starter and battery February 5, 2020. Engine turns and runs fine, just a little rough, so I'm suspecting the starter may be on it's way out. I'll clean all the terminals on Sunday when I'm off...

So a weird thing happened on Wednesday. Went to start my truck, and it sounded like when my starter had lost a mounting bolt. Loud clunk and I could feel it in the truck. No issues up until then. Changed the oil and filter on Tuesday and it started fine. I haven't tried it since as I'm working...

Need photo of mounting arrangement for driveshaft center bearing

Looking at the U bracket, it's 3.5" on the back side, and 3" in the front, as you said to account for the angle of the driveshaft. Hope this drawing helps.

1955 Chevrolet Bel Air More Door For A 16 Year Old

I'm a fan of 4 doors. Love the car and it's great to see you and youe son with a great project. I love the original battery. If I had one of those, I'd figure out a way to gut it, and use it as a small storage box in the car. Best of luck to you both, and I'm sure I speak for a lot of us, keep...
