    fuel line clamps

I’ve come to really like Corbin/spring/constant tension style hose clamps. Just make sure they are appropriately sized for the hose/bart and should be good to go.

Is this a good pattern for gm 14 bolt ff?

I agree, touch deep. Add .004 shim to what you have right now and repattern. (Add in this scenario as the 14b ff uses a cartridge type pinion, if it were a say, 12 bolt, it would be remove shim) What is your backlash? New gears correct?

    Rough country lift

So from 1973-1980 the Dana 44 front axle was used on both K10 and K20 trucks, 1977 was also when the corporate 10 bolt front axle began its run, used in both K10 and K20 trucks, so they overlapped (10 bolt and D44) for a few years. @bucket and others can likely rattle off the specific...

    Rough country lift

? Could you elaborate on what you mean by this? Just curious. My buddy’s 75 K5 has stock springs with ORD shackle flip in the rear and their extended shackles up front with tough country springs. Fox shocks all around. On 33x12.5x15s and rides pretty darn good. A blazer is a shorter...

    Bare Standard Cab Actual Weight

My dad and I back in 2018 carried the (rust enhanced cab) from the frame about 40 feet into a sprinter van, then carried it out for the van into the garage at home. Neither of us are muscle men.

How many freeze plugs on a 350 SBC?

For a 350, two on each side, two on the front, two in the rear. Then there are galley plugs for the oil passages that feed the lifter bores. Get brass ones. You should be able to get a kit of them, with all of them. Not relevant here, but a 400sbc has three on each side.

What new tools have you got lately?

Went to an estate sale and got a Delta overarm router/shaper and another HD shaper. The router I don't believe has ever been used, its still bolted on the original shipping skid. Got it down into my shop Came with the manual and accessories/tools 1/2 spindle for shaper cutters and 1/2 to 1/4...

    Dodge Parts??? Behind seat tray

It’s in reference to the Ram branding. Dodge had used Ram hood ornaments back in the 30s to 50s, but for the 1981 model year is when they began being badged as a Ram pickup. 1980 they began referring to them as Ram tough, but no Ram badging: But 1981 is when they began wearing the name Ram on...

    Old77’s GMT400 SWB 4x4 5-speed project/DD

What's the story on the damage? And is that mig weld blobbed all over the B pillar in the last pic? Should be a neat project though.

rear end modify to posi ?

    Is this a 10 bolt or a 12 bolt? A 79 C/K10 would be a 12 bolt factory.

rear end modify to posi ?

Backing plates JB3(or JB1), and JB5 interchange without issue. If you have excessive endplay on the axle shafts there could be multiple reasons. Best is pull the cover off and get some pictures for us. Could be the center cross pin is worn/ends of axles worn (too many one legger burnouts, low...

What new tools have you got lately?

Not really a tool in the normal sense, but I think it still counts. Already has been very nice. A signal booster for cell service. Being the shop is a metal box, it's basically a faraday cage, I can sometimes get service by the door, but otherwise nothing. Others have had them for a while and...

    Dodge Parts??? Behind seat tray

I’m not sure on the 1st gens, but the 2nd gen single cabs could have this behind seat stowage. And the bins/nets on the rear cab wall.
