K20 upgrades. EDELBROCK AVS II. Why so negative ?
Agree q jets are becoming harder and more expensive to rebuild. Last q jet I did took 2 cores to make 1 carb. Choke housing was bent, metering rod adjuster stuck. Just checked at NAPA. Kits are available.........expensive but available. I actually prefer NAPA kits over some others. Today...- fast 99

O2 sensor question
With the proper release tool wires can be removed from connector and re-installed. It's a common repair procedure for bad connections.- fast 99

Choke Issues
Think an 83 would have both a primary and secondary pull off. 3/16" gap on the choke plate is a good starting point for pull off adjustment. Use a drill bit and slide between the rear of the plate and choke horn. I do this engine off cold choke and a vacuum pump on the front pull-off.- fast 99

Help figuring out correct front inner wheel seal
Normal, seen hundreds like that. Actually sometimes seals may rub slightly on the shield if dirty on that area.- fast 99

Hydro Boost
PS pump cavitation can cause air to be introduced into the fluid. When vehicle is shut off the air expands, pushes fluid out of the reservoir. In other words pump could be bad.- fast 99

1974 c10 didn’t start-fuel problem?
Haven't had any luck with local parts stores. Mostly only use them for fluids. I primarily buy from Rock auto for normal replacement items. Have to watch shipping charges but do like the selection.- fast 99

Hot soak issues have been around since the EPA started messing with fuel. My SB's do start a bit hard after hot soak. Not horrible but noticeable. To help I buy highest octane E free available. 1987 454 TBI stalls at idle after a short time
FYI, TBI primarily uses MAP for fuel trim. O2 sensor only effects trim after reaching operating temp and usually will not stay hot enough after idling a minute or so. As stated above, data would help immensely with diagnostics. Another item check for excessive AC voltage. Would be helpful...- fast 99

208 Milky fluid
Rather common, especially with front diffs that haven't been used enough. Condensation and no heat to burn water off. Water will usually emulsify. Check the vent, drain and refill.- fast 99

1987 suburban tbi 350 overheating.
Doubtful, in 30 years of repair work only seen a handful of bad impellers. Those were in heavily rusted systems, impellers were rotted away. However, never want to say never when it comes to vehicles. How do the temps compare to the cluster reading?- fast 99

Go back to basics. Spark, fuel, timing by TDC and rotor position. If all checks out try a new set of plugs. Also check for 12V on choke thermostat. When it runs again set timing, check advances, vacuum, and reset carb idle mix. Of note, after an engine has been running rich, idle mix will need...- fast 99

check fuel level/float/ idle mixture, running. Should be fuel just below opening, side of bowl. Accelerator pump only works during acceleration. Idle mix screws adjust after float level. Gradually lean them out until RPM drop then out 1/8th to 1/4 turn. May need to go back and forth or side to...- fast 99
