    If your pump sock is getting clogged by debris in the tank,it will probably happen again. So be prepared. Depending on how big a deal the piece if mind is to you,you may want to drop and clean out the tank.

    motor mount question

    I'd look at changing pinion angles,beware that you don't lose caster if doing this. Something I would consider( because I'm a weirdo) pull the rivets on the front cross member lower the crossmember with shims cut from steel plate and bolts. I could set the engine height where I wanted it.

    Yours,the entire area under the fans is open and cools across 80 percent top to bottom. Look at his only like 30 percent of his radiator is cooled top to bottom. It looks like the bottom 4 inches and the top inches of his fan are blocked by the shroud itself,behind the fans. I'll look again...

    I'd just push a piece of 6 in channel iron up against the frame rails in front of the sway bar drill 3 holes per side bolt it up, it would hold the frame rails parallel you could get fancier but that would add a ton of ridgity,cheap and easy. 6x2 channel 3/16ths

    If he goes with a pull style slave all problems are solved. The slave is way back from the header collector,he doesn't have to remove,or sell anything. He just needs a pull style slave behind the clutch arm instead of a push style in front of the clutch arm.

    Would these shocks be good?

    No,your spring rate is wrong, shocks control dampening and rebound. If the suspension is not compressing,and the shock aren't seized,and the suspension doesn't keep moving up and down after you hit bumps or bounce the front end,the problem is spring rate.
