Leaf Springs + Coil Springs ? What is this?

As John said above, they're helper springs. Their only purpose is to help level out the truck when hauling a load. My '05 had some on it when I bought it. I chucked them immediately. It made the truck ride harsher and "spring-ier", the rear end bounced all around with those worn out shocks

    85 vent windows

Just heard back from PRP, they do use the correct 2-piece seal

    85 vent windows

Ya know, I should probably know that. Let me check and see, I'm honestly not sure if they stuck with a 2-piece or did a 1-piece. I think you're right, LMC was the only game in town for a long time and I seem to remember them only being the later style, though they were perpetually out of...

    85 vent windows

Yep. They debuted the new assemblies at SEMA 2 years ago and we started carrying them about 6 months later once they were were able to start stocking people

    Bolting 5.3 to 700r4

Have you figured out how you're gonna hook up the TV cable on that 5.3? I have yet to see a good way to do it. Much easier to just put a matching 4L60/65/70E along with the engine. That way everything jives and works the way it should. Tejas Steelworks engine mounts moves the engine up/forward...

Think I found a somewhat rare truck

Depending on how it's optioned and overall condition, that'd be a $6000-10,000 truck here

    Suburban Carpet Thread

Just a random thought cuz I've spent a bunch of time in the junkyards lately, you ought to get a rear Weathertech/whatever brand mat out of a newer 'burb to go over top of that fresh carpet and protect it in the cargo area.

    Mar-K Truck Toolbox for Stepside

Unfortunately, it was pure mismanagement. They did plenty of business but the guy that owned it is a snake apparently. Idk if he was embezzling or what but he immediately jumped to be on the board of the Corvette museum and as soon as people got wind of that, it lit the world up and he was gone...

    Suburban Carpet Thread

The main reason I always spring for the mass backing is for more sound deadening. But I'd imagine it's alot more of an upcharge for a 'burb than a single cab or a Mustang/Camaro

    85 vent windows

Yep, or they'll sell ya a whole new assembly ready to go. We've got them in stock last I checked

    Suburban Carpet Thread

I've never done a Suburban but ACC mass backed is always my go-to. I've put many of their carpets in over the years. The best tips I can give you are to do it on a hot day and let the carpet sit out for a couple hours before you start so it's softer/more pliable. Use a small pick/pointed punch...

Unfortunately no, that piece is not available separately. You'll either have to refurbish that one or buy complete new vent window assemblies

    Mar-K Truck Toolbox for Stepside

Just an FYI in case you didn't know, Mar-K is out of business as of April. I'm seeing alot of people online that didn't realize that and now have money tied up that they're trying to get back. Although I just checked and it looks like the website has finally been taken down

You talking about this stuff? This is on the bottoms of my vent windows. I haven't attempted to clean it up/make it better but maybe someone has an idea

Replacing a single frame rail, can it be done?

In Ga if you buy something out of state and/or without a title, you have to fill out a T-22 form. Can be done ahead of time or right there at the DMV, they call an officer to come inspect (or can set up an appointment to go to the vehicle if the vehicle isn't/can't be there), they check the VIN...

Best Truck Roof Top Tent for Weekend Camping?

I'm only 35 and agree with this lol. We used to camp regularly when I was in HS and college and I'm done sleeping on rocks/roots/uneven ground. Maybe if I lived in Colorado/somewhere beautiful to camp and had more mild weather to enjoy it in I'd consider it occasionally. But down here in the...
