Cap, rotor, module, wires, plugs. Oil,oil filter, air filter&breather filter also gave it a bath. That’s enough for today. It’s time to watch some football and have a couple ( maybe 3 or so ) beers.
As other Folks have said, have a reputable shop go threw yours. On 700r4 there is a difference between a 2wd and 4wd transmission case and it will be a roll of the dice on what case you get from a rebuild house.
The 5.7k has a problem with the gasket between the tbi and intake manifold leaking( I sold a lot of them in the 90's). I would spray some carb. Cleaner at the base of the tbi and see if it surges. Good luck!
I installed warn hubs about two years ago, should have done it years ago. Like others have said the auto/hubs are a weak spot. They are easy to change over ( very clear instructions). I get better fuel mileage and performance. The only downside is you must lock them in and drive a couple of miles...

This question is related to towing. I have a 1984 k1500. When I'm in overdrive an shift to drive manually does this lockup the torque converter? I appreciate you input!

Let's try this again ( fat finger pushed wrong button). Where the head meets the block ( front) on the passenger side (rh) there is a flat spot on the block. The will be a 2 or 3 letter code stamped in the flat spot. If you take that to a Chevrolet dealer parts dept and if the still have the old...
