    Im on my way on my to making a 79 block with vortec heads, but Ive noticed that the intake has two inner bolt holes that dont match up with the heads. Ive got the 906 vortecs paired with vortec dual plane intake pc-2006

    They are stock 906 vortecs on a carbed motor, the rockers are from the old smog heads that were on the truck. I have just seen all of the guide plates held down by something but I dont have anything securing them except the pushrods.

    Ill be corrected if im wrong im pretty sure you either need self aligning rockers arms or pushrod guide plates. My question about this build is whether when i put my vortecs on am I going to need premium.

    Their was no report they just said it needs to be hooked up and said something about port vacuum something. I think if i plugged it into a various bolts around the carb they wouldnt know the difference but i would like it done right
