    350 or 454?

LOL i like the motto. im not concerned about fuel mileage, it will be a weekend cruiser/ show truck. and i love the idea of "too much" HP. the only thing that concerns me about the 454 is that its a 2bolt main. from what i have researched it should be fine since it will never go beyond 5500 rpm...

    350 or 454?

As you may know i have a '88 Chevy V20 Suburban with a 350 and TH400, and that i also have a '86 Chevy C20 Suburban with a 454 and TH400. I bought the '86 for the engine and body to swap onto my '88. Anyways, i have been doing a lot of debating on swapping engines, I'm definitely going to swap...

    Front leaf spring bushings...

The bushings arent too bad, the biggest problem is if the bolts are rusted to the metal sleeve that goes through the rubber. No harm in trying

definition of the C, K, R, and V. And engine swap motor mounts

I actually have two questions for you guys: 1. What defines the C, K, R, and V on the chevys? 2. Are the motor mounts the same for the 88 Chevy V20 suburban 4x4 350 and 454? from autozone they are the same part number. The original 350 is getting replaced with the 454 out of my 86 3/4 ton...

    Hi from Quincy, IL

cuz the one that is on it is going to cost me 9 grand to have fixed and painted. thats why i bought the 86 (the black and grey one) it only has two small dents and a lil rust up top. and it had the 454 i want. i paid $1500 for the 86 and it will save me lots of money
