New Motor/Pump and Switch windshield washers still not working

I cleaned the ground contact area with sand paper and still had nothing. So using a jump box I ran power directly to the washer and it worked. So I looked around and the wire going to the plug was barley hanging on. So a little disassembly of the plug i re attached the terminal and it now works...

New Motor/Pump and Switch windshield washers still not working

I am in the process of getting my 1982 GMC C35 working as it should. One of the last issues is the wipers and washers, the wipers were really slow and washer pump didn't work. I tried cleaning terminals and grounds but no help. so I replaced the wiper motor/pump assembly and while the wipers...

    Dually Fender Clearance Light Wiring

Black is ground and brown is running lights. The two black on the driver side are both ground, one is the ground shared throughout the harness and the second ground goes to a ground screw behind the driver light. At least that’s what the one in the junkyard had that I took the harness from.

How screwed am I? Broken intake manifold bolt hole in head.

Hey, sorry, I couldn't quite tell from the photo. That I have never run into.... The last SBC I had worked, had a heli coil in one of the intake bolt holes and exhaust bolt holes. As soon as I stuck a wrench on them I could tell there was something up with the hole. Maybe they were not installed...

How screwed am I? Broken intake manifold bolt hole in head.

I have had this happen to me on SBF 302, I covered the ports and valley with gorilla tape, drilled the bolt (slow speed and grease on the bit to hold the shavings) then soaked it in high quality penetrating oil, stuck in the extractor and on the second try it turned loose. Important, don't go...

    500 cfm edelbrock enough?

I ordered a GM goodwrench 350, 240 hp, for my truck. Nothing fancy, just gonna be a daily driver (for when the CC/LB DRW feels to hard to drive), should not see anything above 4500 rpm tops, half that cruising. I came across this formula, CFM = Cubic Inches x RPM x Volumetric Efficiency ÷...

Choosing a small block for my truck

Due to time constraints and parts, I decided to sell the 400, I order the GM Goodwrench 240hp engine should be here soon. Thanks for all the replies! I honestly would not have the time to properly tackle the 400 sbc or the 350 I already have, I will have maybe one weekend off in May. I'll update...

    TPI on a 73 350

That looks really sweet, my cousin Bill,s was white with red gut and chrome wheels (Like the 90's 454 ss) with a thin white wall. TPI looks so natural under the hood. I may start a new project before my K10 is done....... a 97 with TPI would be sweet.

    TPI on a 73 350

Sorry for the late reply..... Been pretty busy with work! Stored it for nearly a decade (bought in 2006), cost a pretty penny to make road worthy (tires, hoses, belt, fluids, etc.). Not so fast by todays standard but when I was a kid my room was covered in posters and sales brochures of this...

Choosing a small block for my truck

Most tools I own, including a compression gauge. I was going to ask if was a good idea to pull the heads and reseal the engine. Intake and rockers gotta come off any way I intend to drive the truck as long as possible so labor is no trouble at all, the budgets not really a problem...

Choosing a small block for my truck

I have not checked timing as of yet and I am running premium (91) in right now. I have driven it but not very much, I don't like reving the engine so high. Maybe I'll drive it around this weekend and fill up on 87 and see how it runs.

Absolutely, I think I'll just keep the chain set up.

Choosing a small block for my truck

Would I be able to tell by looking at the piston what type it is? I guess that would only help if it's flat topped, if it were domed or dished we'd be guessing how much? I have a camera that would fit down through the spark plug hole. Also thinking of doing timing set with gears, or should I...

Choosing a small block for my truck

Thank you all! 400 it is, I will pull the engine when I have time in the next few weeks.... should I do the rear main seal while I have it out on a stand? I'm gonna do a pan change and gasket, maybe oil pump.... Once I get it cleaned I'll put up some pics

Choosing a small block for my truck

I have 1973 K10 I bought in December and put quite a bit of work into. when I bought the truck it was rigged so that only the engine ran. So after rebuilding the entire harness (under dash and engine harness were fried thanks to 30 amp fuses used in 3-15 amp slots) I installed a new cooling...

    TPI on a 73 350

My cousin, Bill, had a 88-90 1500 RCSB that was owned by a GM tech, who converted it to TPI in the early 90's. he bought the truck in 95 and had it until his brother in law wrecked it in 2001. truck had tons of low end torque and was pretty quick, best run was a 14.95 at 90 something mph. all...

    Where should I start?

What is this? The harness I used came from a 75, my truck obviously the 73. Everything went together perfectly, the only issue I came across is I could not figure out what this went to. It looks like a relay(?) but I don't know. It was already cut off from the original harness, and the new...
