Question about welding for the body guys..

By the time you invest in all the replacement panels and time that is going to be needed to fix that cab you will be close to the prices of a replacement cab. Plus if you think the cab is already tweaked then that is one more reason to look for a replacement. If it is tweaked then none of your...

Question about welding for the body guys..

You can lift the cab off by yourself if you strip the cab down to make it lighter. You can then use an engine crane buy securing chains to the seat mounting holes and lifting the cab up and pull it back with the crane. Having one or two extra people will make doing this job easier. One to help...

    Gauge cluster F%#k!

I do but I don't really have the time to do much posting. Plus there are a number of regulars who give good advice and I see no reason to post the same information. I don't remember seeing any of these trucks with both an oil pressure gauge and a functioning oil pressure light but I could be...

    Help

Check the connection for that wire at the firewall side where all the wires from under the hood connect to the inside fuse box. I had the main power wire that feeds the fuse box at that connection point corrode and cause the problem you describe. If there is that many splices in your main power...

    OE wheels???

Way too much for those rims. They go for around 150 here with the caps and trim rings. Squarebody parts are rare around here, I have to go upstate to find any decent parts in the scrap yards.

    Would like your opinion

I have two of the grilles so I think I am going to paint one argent silver and the other satin black and install each and see which one I like best. Got a few hours in that emblem so it is not going to change. The front plate is on there just to hide some rust on the bumper. I am going to...

Powdered coated super chrome and the bottom of the hood is Rust-Oleum spray on bed liner. The bolts holding it on are painted silver.

What have you done to your square lately??

Got the top part of the hood painted, still need to cut and buff. Painted the upper cowl area and the front hood latch area and buffed out the wiper arms. Powder coated the hood latch and a few other parts.

    Driver side window Weathersripping

I did it when I repainted my doors. I didn't unbolt the tracks, I used a little silicone lube and sprayed down the backside of the weather striping and slid it down between the channel and the glass. The pain in the ass is getting the old stuff out. I tried to get the old stuff out in a complete...

    Driver side window Weathersripping

You don't have to take the window or vent window assembly out to change the window weather striping. It's easier to do if you remove the door panel. Dig out the old weather striping and install the new one.

    Speaker Locations in Dash

No the dual speaker holes are not it the 73-79 dash structure. Not sure about the 80 model. The center speaker if I remember correctly is 4X6 and there does not look like there is enough room to cut the dash to fit a 6X9. I think LMC makes a dual cone speaker that will fit the 73-79 center...
