    Tires - 245/75/16 or 265/75/16?

Hey Jake, Not sure if you knew or not, but the GMT400 3/4 trucks came with steel wheels. They sort of look like a ralley wheel, but they are not. Just another option to consider.

    Tires - 245/75/16 or 265/75/16?

Thanks for the pictures - do you have any issues with the wheels rubbing while turning? I am going to be getting new wheels - do you remember what the offset is on the black ones you put on?

Do I need to upgrade my booster for 14 bolt swap?

Thanks to everyone for all the responses. Sounds like I should be alright sticking with my current setup. I believe there is a larger MC that is non-hydroboost as well (Hydro must have been an option?). If I have any issues, would I just be able to swap over the MC or would I need everything...

Do I need to upgrade my booster for 14 bolt swap?

I have been rebuilding my 14 bolt and 10 bolt axles to get ready to swap them into the truck for my k20 conversion. These axles have the 13" HD drums on the rears and the large rotors on the front. Somone mentioned I should check and see if my K10 booster/master cylinder will handle these...

Found 14 bolt, need U-Bolts and plates - Where do I get them?

I was on RockAuto looking at parts - they have U-bolts for the rear axle but it says they are 3 1/4". I believe that the 14 bolt axles are 3 3/8". Anyone think that they will fit or could this be a rounding issue or maybe 1/8" isnt much to worry about? Not really crazy about spending $100 for...

Looking at some polished wheels - got a few questions

That looks really good! What height is your lift there? Its hard to tell from the pics, but do they tuck under the fenders or do the tires stick out a little?

Looking at some polished wheels - got a few questions

American Racing makes one called the Baja, its the same design with a 0mm offset. Maybe that is a good place to start? -6mm should be fine, I checked and its about 1/4". I shouldnt be able to see the difference from stock. Thanks! If anyone has pictures of these wheels, post away!

Looking at some polished wheels - got a few questions

Hey all, As I search for new wheels to work with my 8-lug setup I have come up with a few questions. Pretty much settled on this style of wheel: http://www.ultrawheel.com/ultra-wheel.cfm?id=672&cat=1140&s=0 I get confused on offset - I can get either -6mm or +12mm offset on the 16x8...

I checked my fuel pressure - help me understand my readings

Do you mean behind the filter - as in behind when facing from the front of the truck? Currently the adapter is on the rear end side of the filter. In the flow of fuel, it is in front of the filter in the line, as the flow of fuel comes from the tank forward. I want to make sure we are...

I checked my fuel pressure - help me understand my readings

Yes, this is an inline fitting which is directly in front of the filter in line.

I checked my fuel pressure - help me understand my readings

Hello All, I checked my fuel pressure tonight. Here are my results: Key On - comes up to around 10-12 psi, then falls back to 0 slowly. Key On, Engine Running - comes up to 12 psi and stays there. Readings were taken from the location of the fuel filter. I think these are...

Anyone use this Fuel Pressure Adapter/Gauge for TBI?

Well I got it in the mail today (fast shipping). I tried it a moment ago. The adapter does work and the gauge works as well. I would not recommend this for one major reason - this is not a permanent adapter like they claim. To install it you bolt it onto the fuel filter. The short section of...

Found 14 bolt, need U-Bolts and plates - Where do I get them?

Like the title says. I brought home a 14 bolt SF rear end and a matching 10 bolt front end last night. I should be fine using the U-bolts and plates over on the front end, but I'll need U-bolts and plates for the rear axle. Anyone know where to find plates/U-bolts that will fit the 14 bolt...

    C, K, R, V... What Do They Mean?!

They didnt carry them in because they wanted to keep using the c/k lettering. The R/V was because some squares were made at the same time as the GMT400 trucks. Like the Blazers/Suburbans/Crew Cabs. I think they all went to 1991. The GMT400 was to carry on the C/K designation, but they...

    C, K, R, V... What Do They Mean?!

I think the renaming in 87' from C-R and K-V was to make those designations available for the GMT400 trucks which came out in 88'. That is my theory anyways.

What parts can I swap from Dana 44 to GM 10 bolt?

So - I can use my current knuckles and ball joints from the 10 bolt on the Dana 44? Thats really all I want to keep. What about hooking up to the driveshaft? Would they use the same u-joint size?

What parts can I swap from Dana 44 to GM 10 bolt?

Hey Folks, more axle questions here. I have a 10 bolt 6 lug on my 87 right now. I would like to change this out to 8 lug. I may have found a set of axles, but the problem is the front is a Dana 44. I rebuilt my 10-bolt with new Moog ball joints last year and new spicer u-joints, so really...

Will this 14 bolt fit my truck?

Hi All, Found another 14 bolt for sale. This one is out of a crew cab single rear wheel truck. The guy selling it says it should be the same as the k10/20 since its a 3/4 ton crew cab. I thought I read that all the crew cab frames/axles has different mounts for the springs/shocks...
