New 350 Engine
I agree with Jarhead79. A crate motor delivered for two grand is cheaper than the three grand I spent rebuilding a crate motor. That is an engine with no intake, carb, fuel pump etc. You can buy them turn key or decide what you want to reuse. I ended up installing all new stuff and the feeling...- donnieray

Stock 350 Exhaust heat shields
I took mine off when I rebuilt my engine and left them off. Also plugged the air fittings on each manifold. Most people run headers and they don't have the shields. Less is better, I think.- donnieray

Rear diff making a popping noise
If it has a limited slip unit installed the wrong gear oil will make it pop, chatter and vibrate when turning. At least mine will. I have an Eaton unit in my 12 bolt rear. new synthetic gear oil brought all the noises after changing. I refilled it with dino oil and limited slip additive and all...- donnieray

Th400 being in 3rd by 25mph
Yep, mine was doing the same thing. 1 1/2 turns in and now it shifts just right. Most people will install a new modulator and never adjust it.- donnieray

Front disc dragging
My brake lines were the problem. The right front would not release at times causing the truck to pull hard to the right. The rubber lines can collapse on the inside and act like a check valve, not allowing the caliper to release.- donnieray
