The '85 emissions label is for my truck. Even though I have an '85, it runs '84 emissions, due to the Federal emissions changes 1/1/85. My truck was produced 11/84. Here's some reference info for you. I've posted this picture on the forum before (photo #1), its one I grabbed off the internet. I've never had a diesel or I-6. The two cold air tubes I posted are for small blocks. The one with the longer smooth section is for 81 & ups. LMC carries the correct fresh air duct replacement for a small block #38-4359 $25. The aluminum tube (pre heater) is $10. Second photo is the one I had in my '79. It's the shorter version on the left. Yours will look like the one on the right with a longer snout...- Craig 85

I keep seeing the option of "custom or Silverado"...
It can be confusing as you could get Silverado trim (V22 - grill & YG3 - Deluxe Molding Package) a Scottsdale. Here's a prime example. This is a 589 mile Scottsdale with Silverado trim. Engine oil cooler hoses

steering column clarification
I believe the other option is installing an 81 & up seat. My last truck was a '79 and my '85 seems to have a thinner seat back. The photo of the '85 does not have the seat all the way back. '79 '85- Craig 85

Look at this pic......what is it and what is my truck missing.......
I pulled this photo from a members 88-89 454 Suburban a few years back. It could be for the TH-400 or the factory aux fan relay. I added the aux fan to my K30, but in '85 this is the correct location.- Craig 85

Headers or Manifold ?
Couple of options for you. Lokar (ACA-1800) makes this shifter linkage. Frankenchevy used it on his truck. You can get heat risers/bypass through Summit Racing in 2" or 2.5" if you want to run the OEM manifolds...- Craig 85

Rear window clarification
The CR Laurence glass has a grey tone to it and is darker than the OEM shaded glass. The fire got bad really quickly. 50 acres to 1000 acres within and hour!! Wheel choices for 4x4
I found Red Barn Customs that has 16" barrels and custom makes wheels. Maybe that's an option if you want to use a OEM style center. IIRC the 15" and 16" centers are similar, but the 16" has an extra step in the hoop to meet the center... -

@hoagster here's how it looked in my '79. Tint is not very dark. These pictures were taken at the same time. You can see looking through the front window, you barely notice it.
