Just got back from the muffler shop- they welded the O2 sensor bung in the driver side, then the offered to put one in the passenger side as well so I told them to have at it. Felt so good to have it out on the road that I drove her around all afternoon to do errands. -
Thinking about a new smaller steering wheel, comfort grip or forever sharp?
Well, we’re all shrinking lol. I do like the deep offset of that look. My dads ‘68 vette had a three spoke steering wheel from the factory like that. It was so cool looking through that to those huge gauges. -

Got out to the garage and routed the O2 sensor cable into the cab. Then, since someone before me chopped the bezel to bits for a radio that no longer exists, I formed a piece of plastic and mounted the AFR gauge in its place. Tomorrow the bung gets welded onto the exhaust. Through the mess of... -

Thanks For that. I got to thinking, and went out to the garage. In my minds eye, the extension wire from the control module was going to be inside the vehicle, but looking at where I want the O2 sensor, that won’t reach. So, that extension will have to be out of the vehicle at least partially...- ChuckN

Well, can’t take the wires out of the O2 sensor connector since there is a calibrated resistor in there that will mess it up. Ho-hum.- ChuckN

Hey bud, I bought a de-pin tool kit. But for the life of me, I don’t know how to go about it- one end looks like it would still be way too big to fit through the firewall even if I pulled the wires out since the wires after the connector are molded into the wire. Unless you can pull the wires...- ChuckN

What have you done to your square lately??
Keep an eye on your temp gauge- I had replaced mine a while back and got a faulty one. Looked down and all the sudden sitting in traffic I’m 210 and climbing. Nice to have it quiet again I’m sure! -

Replaced the taillight gaskets since one was missing. Now I’m in the cab trying to figure out the radio wiring butchery so I can sort it out, and also do away with the old trailer brake light wiring. I hate how audio shops chop everything up just to get a job done- makes me want to do it... -

Nice! Since on the 81-87 the badges are hard to get to the backside, I’m just going to repaint mine- picked up some tiny brushes while I was at the craft store with the wife the other day. Just need to find a close match to the yellow. -

Yeah, good call. Sounds like we have a similar setup- mine is also Innovate. I was going to mount the control box inside the cab- if I remember right, the instructions for the LC-2 said that it needs to be protected from weather. So since it’s going to be close to the fusebox, I was going to use...- ChuckN

Thanks guys! Sounds like pulling the pins and reinstalling them as the easiest way, the connector goes right to the control box and does not go to the gauge itself.- ChuckN

On my AFR gauge that I received for Christmas, the connector for the O2 sensor is HUGE. I’m fairly certain there’s no way to fit it through any of the existing holes in the firewall, and I’ll be damned if I’m drilling one that size. I’ve seen water pumps that should have been spraying like a geyser, but somehow the seal put up with it. As far as stupid goes- nope I’ve got stories about myself that would beat you by a country mile. -
