OK. I'll check Bextreme04 for max valve lift with stock Vortec Heads. The ZZ502 you posted: Lift with 1.7:1 rocker ratio (intake/exhaust) is 527/544. ...sounds good. The ZZ502 is carbureted, and uses Chevrolet Performance Aluminum Bowtie heads. It's not rated for a computer controller though...- RanchWelder

Does anyone use Gear Venders unit with TH350?
I have no experience with them yet, and I'm interested in owning one. Keep it simple, sounds good to me. Beef up a TH350 with hard parts, no electronics, no lock up and add the gear vendors, might be good for a long time? Weight vs tire size @ HP/TQ... Lil' bit of math... Methanol is completely different. It's in your windshield washer fluid, if you buy the blue stuff. (Do not lick your fingers). Yah, he probably used High test. It sat for 10 years and tuned to varnish. I have a 1985 F250 which will fire right up, with a new tank, new lines, new pump, new cap and rotor, etc. Sitting for 5 years. Never had Ethanol in it. I can see where stock metal gaskets would not work because the way they deck the tubing and welds. The flange would not have enough surface to cover the metal gaskets like the wide flat surface of the stock cast iron headers.
