    Finally, a squarebody forum!

Welcome! You should be able to find the studs at any auto parts store from Dorman. Make sure you get w/p studs and not Carb. I see a lot of people using carb studs and they aren't quite long enough to get full engagement of the thread.

    The Best Carburetor?

On race vehicle, I will always choose Holley. On street vehicle, I'd always choose quadrajet. However, that is somewhat dependent on whether you have a true competent Quadrajet shop/ builder near you or willing to ship off to. Not a carb shop that "also" does quads.

Seat Rebuild - To reuse or not reuse padding. And fixed to folding?

Lastly, if you buy the upholstery covers from Raybuck, it's priced well and they have a large assortment of materials, patterns, and colors to choose from at no extra cost and only takes an extra week.

Seat Rebuild - To reuse or not reuse padding. And fixed to folding?

Also, I think I might have an extra folding seat frame. San Diego isn't that far. Are you coming to Phoenix for Dino's?

Seat Rebuild - To reuse or not reuse padding. And fixed to folding?

I always do new padding. Figure a 30-50 yo truck has been farted on 10-15k times and probably a good handful of sharts. I also add seat heaters everytime I reupholster a seat. $100 on Amazon and easy to wire/ install

    2 post shop lift

Sorry to hijack the thread on lifts... We had a great auto shop class which was really surprising since it was considered an affluent area and most kids had brand new cars. Tom Nelson, who was a couple grades ahead of me, was in my class and started Nelson Racing Engines pretty much right out...

Have you checked out Harbor Freight? I hear they have a new line of Pittsburgh lifts coming out....JK

    2 post shop lift

Yes, this is what we had. I totally forgot it had 2 levers and kids were always screwing it up!!!

    2 post shop lift

This was different. Instead of being parallel, it was inline. One for rear axle and one for front. I've never seen another like it. Probably installed in the early 70's.

    2 post shop lift

That's the plan for now except with the Max Jax. It only lifts 48". One of my big concerns is having a clear floor if I get a 2 post. My buddy has a 2 post with the cables that are on the floor and its always in the way. I had to use it to pull the motor on my HHR SS and the motor has to come...

    2 post shop lift

I prefer 4 post as to me, they are safer. Yes, it can be cumbersome, takes up a lot of square footage, etc but I don't have to worry about efficiency as I am only working on my own car. Unfortunately my garage isn't tall enough to put a lift in that I could stand under so I am doing two things...

Does any one know what had a similar banjo as this?

I'd look for a line shop near you. They can make just about anything you need. A lot of them are mobile and build lines/fittings on the spot.

    Where's the weld(s)?

Both of my trucks, 77 & 90, had 2 spot welds on top and 2 on the rear.

    Engine Crossmember Replacement

Check Craigslist in Phoenix. I regularly see complete frames and front suspensions very cheap. Lots of Suburbans get parted out here and lots of custom frames and front members swapped in for builds. If you can't find one, let me know and I'll reach out to a couple of guys in the area.

    ORD swaybar ends?

Did you use lockwashers? If you did that could be the problem. If a lockwasher is under the bolt head, it doesn't allow the bolt to stretch correctly and the washer will often break and fall out and allow the bolt to loosen. I've seen that happen on swaybar endlinks and also the 8 bolts that...

    Filling small holes without welding

I would only weld, everything else is a compromise and cross your fingers it is going to last. I use these plugs from Speedway and others for holes larger than 1/4". Unibit to size and a magnet to hold. Saves a lot of time. Available in various diameters and gauges.

    Cowl Induction or stock?

While I'm not a fan of those particular wheels on a silver truck, I do like bigger wheels and ability to run larger brakes. I'm hit or miss on cowl hoods. Does it serve a purpose to fit tall deck motor, supercharger clearance, etc? If not, I think it's cleaner with out and without the emblem as...

    kick panel speaker housings

Got it! I was looking at your various applications. Do you plan on doing anything for 62-65 Nova?

    kick panel speaker housings

I like them a lot and willing to spend some money when I do my stereo. I am definitely naive when it comes to stereos so this is out of my comfort zone but I do plan to reach out to them.
