yea,, that will work,, but i have found that removing the "switch" in the middle of the valve, "the one ya connect the test light to", press the peddle a few times and screw it back in is easier and faster....... -

i agree for the most part? but ever get a Diesel,, old school,, over 210? and its cooked,, finished,, done, cracked the heads and block,,,,SBC's? yea 210 230ish,, a diesel 6.2? Dead,, the heads cant take it.......... there is a difference between a red block and a 6.2 black bock........- Tyger13us

What parts can I swap from Dana 44 to GM 10 bolt?

What have you done to your square lately??
im looking for oem mounting brackets for the ole long ac pump for a 78 style.. if i remember right the pump is on the drivers side for that year,, i got EVERYTHING except for the ac pump brackets.. and even if? i had to put the pump on the pass side? like some older cars had um? those... -

yea,, my 82 c10 2wd and k10 4x4 with a locker,, will both ether lock up 1 rear tire or both first thing in the a.m. ive tryed everything under the sun to fix it,, with all new parts/shoes/springs/wheel cylinders/turned the drums? on both sides and it still does it...... just one of them...- Tyger13us

i dont know if it has mechanical or electric oil pressure gauge or not,, but if its mech type check for a broken/cracked line..i only use copper line for oil pressure,, because the plastic line get brittle and break.. if electric? id still look around there,, i have seen sending units spray oil...- Tyger13us

yea,, thats a good price for a turn key motor.. ive got close to 8k in my motor,, 3k in just the heads!!,, it adds up quick with all the extra goodies.. ive got the same problem,, out back under a shade tree or 2,, no garage,, man i wish i had one though,, this damn heat ya cant get nothing...- Tyger13us

yea,, its just a charcoal vapor collector that gm came up with for some smog crap,, id tear it out.... i havent seen one of those in years,, most people i know thats the first thing they get rid of,, and it will run better also.......- Tyger13us

run a clear hose from the top of the injector pump to where it goes back to the tank and look for air bubbles...... or just run a line to a good sized coffie can and look for bubbles,, but id do the above way, cause sometimes it takes awhile to run enough fuel through the pump for air bubbles...- Tyger13us

the only thing ID ever do with a 400 is use it for a boat anchore,, throw it over board,, then cut the rope when it was time to go...... the cranks are weak,, really weak,, Siamese cylinders go oval,, the wrist pins are to far up in the pistons and cause the pistons to rock and bust scurts on...- Tyger13us

yep,, and looks to me that the lower bolts,, the one under #3 and the 2 under #5 wernt torqued correct........ Id Highly suggest that ya buy a new 7/16 coarse thread tap and chase ALL the holes in the block and clean um up real good,, wire wheel the threads on the bolts also,, if the threads...- Tyger13us

Wheel offset question
I find that anything with more back spacing will rub on the tie rod ends,, ive tryed stock rims with bad wide tires,, 14",, and they still rub the tie rod ends.. so? needed 3 inch back spacing to give that lil bit of room for tire flex........ jm2c.......:emotions34:- Tyger13us
