    Hello, I have a question about an R4 compressor. GM shows they were used until '95 on trucks. My question is would an R4 compressor with the serpentine belt pulley work on our squares if I replaced the pulley with the V pulley? Thank you.

    Had the same problem. Had to source mine from a salvage yard. Along with the squarish springs on the crosser over bar at the top of the brakes.

    I have a question. How come they say the stuff we color our OEM vinyl parts with a 'dye' when it's actually a paint? I used SEM on my '86 to go from blue to black and all it was was spray paint. Just a surface cover. Thoughts?

    Wheel stuck on drum

    Must be aluminum or magnesium wheel. I've had success with holding a 2x4 across one side of wheel while striking said 2x4 with an 8lb sledge.

    Headlight harness will be the same.

    torque converter lockup not working

    It's not actually fused. Should be a single wire plugged into a port near the top of the fuse block. They are colored up there but can't remember which color. Brown? or Orange. Also don't forget the TCC lock up control goes through the brake switch as wel.

    I'm assuming this is on a 700r4. Connect the two wires and test with a test light. If no power, probably the solenoid has failed and will have to the pan to replace. One other thing to check is the power connection in the fuse block., that's assuming it's still the factory set up.
