    Just do I understand what you are saying, the distance from the top of the piston to the mating surface of the head when installed should be .040 to .045? If correct what compression ratio would that produce withs 64 cc heads?

    It is a cast iron pipe plug held in with job weld thanks to one of my boys. The manifold is split on the bottom under where it fits in. Rock auto has them for (ouch) $166 each plus shipping when in stock. Cannot find one at a junk yard, seems these were only on the vin m engines I will pull...

    Choke not closing on rebuilt quadrajet

    I ran a wire from the choke housing screw to the battery ground post. Once you get the linkage right be sure the carb is grounded good or the choke plate will take excessive time to open, creating a rich mixture issue

    The 2 sided tape on my body mouldings is letting go. It is 1 yr old. Is there a better way to stick mouldings on? Best quality tape? Glue? Appreciate suggestions

    Had that issue in my 84 model. Turns out it was bad grounds. Test the switch you are thinking about replacing for continuity. Be sure all your grounds including the battery posts and cable are clean and tight
