    Bumper identification question

The plastic bumperettes won't leave a mark as they are plastic and they fit over the impact strip. The rubber strip on their now looks to be cut by hand to fit the earlier, larger guards. There is at least 4 different bumperettes/ guards over the 18 years of these trucks. Additionally, these...

WTB 89-91 Power Mirror Door Window

As the title says, Im looking for a set of door glass for a truck with power mirrors. This is the glass with the black out where the top of the mirror is. Yes I know I could probably paint the glass myself or just use clear but I'd like to have a spare set of originals. Thanks

    Engine Identification - Help Requested

Are you just curious or is there a reason that you are seeking the info? Planning a rebuild, buying parts? I ask, if you are planning, I'd still disassemble to fully identify what you have and conditions before any parts are purchased.

What have you done to your square lately??

I have one and it works well after one quick mod. Mine had two little rubber feet and would sometimes slip/ shift on the tires. I removed the rubber feet exposing the bolt heads and welded large washers on. Much larger surface contact area and it cured the slipping.

What have you done to your square lately??

I haven't installed yet but yesterday a couple neat items came. I bought 2 mirrors for the squares and going to order a 3rd for the Nova. These are from 2014-24 Cadillacs. Neat shape and no rim on the glass. A bit on the heavy side for a mirror. Bought another gas pedal spacer to better align...

Has anyone ever built a 377 Small Block?

Yes, I've been part of a couple builds. Never for a truck as they are/ were best for lightweight cars that spent time in the corners. You could, or at least you could buy cranks with the larger mains so you didn't have to run the spacers. I think you could run 6" rods but it's been so long, I...

    6/8 lowering kit

Its the old "two ways to skin a cat" I just prefer a "cleaner" set-up. I like to ask myself, "how would the factory do it?" And I don't think that GM would use adapter brackets and move the axle back. Nothing wrong with them, just not for me. I weld new perches on, cut off old perches. Cycle...

    6/8 lowering kit

No need to buy a "flip kit". Summit sells perches starting at $15 a pair. Weld them on and be done. No extra weird parts https://www.summitracing.com/search?SortBy=BestKeywordMatch&SortOrder=Ascending&keyword=Axle%20spring%20perches

    2 cycle gas mix ratio

I buy the canned quarts/ gallons from Lowe's, HD, WM. It is ethanol free and everything I put it in runs so much better. Easier starts, no run-on when shut down, and I haven't had to clean a carb since I started using it. If I could buy ethanol free gas near where I live I'd buy that and mix to...

    Led headlight mod

CE has really nice headlight relay kits and also probably the best battery cables you can buy. He's the guy that literally wrote the books on wiring hot rods, etc. https://ceautoelectricsupply.com/headlight-relay-kits/

    6/8 lowering kit

In all my cars I keep 2-4 pieces of 5/8 or 3/4" plywood cut into 8x8 squares for just this reason. I'll drive onto 1 or 2 under the tire to keep it up a bit for clearance and 1 or 2 under the jack so the jack doesn't sink and also to reduce jacking time with the tedious factory scissor jack.

    C30 Dually Tow Mirrors

The West Coast mirrors are my favorite, especially on a K30 DRW. My dually has the power mirrors. Pretty much useless but I think they're cool.

Converting from dual saddle tanks to a single fuel tank

They start as low as $400 online for a bolt in tank needing no real mods. OP is also posting about buying Dakota dash, disc conversions, etc so I think an extra $100-200 for an easy solution isn't crazy.

Converting from dual saddle tanks to a single fuel tank

I wouldn't bother with Burb tank unless you had a brand new one that you got free. CPP makes/sells a bolt in tank. Rick's makes/sells a bolt in tank. POL/ Western Chassis, I think, makes a tank. Have to drill 6-8 holes and they bolt in. Possible Issues to deal with: Wood bed floors reduce...

    91 Suburban Shopping Category

Yeah, my '90 CC confuses the parts stores. I just got a new windshield and had to talk to the owner to make sure he knew what I had. Had a kid at O'Reilly's a few months back super confused when I said I had an Oldsmobile. "Is that made by Ford or Chevy?"

    91 Suburban Shopping Category

Only chassis/ drivetrain change on the 2wd for 89-91 that I am aware of, and it wouldn't affect anything, was the spline count on the rear axle went from 28 to 31 on the 10b. Also, electronic speedo on the burb and blazer but I find that to be inconsistent as my '89 GMC Jimmy had a mechanical...
