    The 402 I spoke of had 8 bent valves, memory is bad but I think they were the intake valves. You could not see it until they were in the valve resurfacing machine.

    I bought a 1971 402 BB to put in my '82. The car it came out of had just over 100K. When tearing it down for overhaul, I dumped all the original timing gear teeth out of the oil pick up screen. So that running engine got a timing set sometime before that.

    I have bought 2 vehicles from Craigslist. Both were properly represented. You can buy parts off ebay. Never get ripped off because the buyer is protected. Before the internet the newspaper want ads was where you found stuff. The world has changed. You need to be vigilant.

    As stated by others... No, sometimes the driveshaft is too long. This is so you can use the stock driveshaft.

    Ebay is where I found the picture of the dash control. BIN for $140 or best offer for the two parts. Not working, trashed wires, lots corroded connections inside. Several other trunk units but none with the dash control.

    I think that meant the tuner would grab the FM stereo signal if it was available. Usually lit a light too. The reverb dash control I don't have, stated Reverb.

    I have been running GMT 800's for years as daily drivers. Currently, two 2006 Silverado's, an 2002 Tahoe and new to me 2004 Avalanche. 4 doors, 5 seats, a little rust, but otherwise okay. $2500 from the rust belt in the greater Philadelphia area. 197K miles.

    hydraulic clutch engaging high

    Read through this post quick, as suggested the disc most likely is worn out. On many hydraulic clutch systems, when everything else is okay, and the clutch catches high, time for disc replacement.
