    I bought a carb kit for the Quadrajet. It didn't have the spec sheet in it. Can anyone tell me what the float level is for carb number 17085005? I've read 5/16, 9/32 and 1/4. I know the difference between these number is like 1/32.

    Nothing wrong with the timing, not looking to gain horse power or torque, just seeing if changing it would help or hinder. I've got it at 4 Degrees BTDC.

    I tried to search for an answer but no luck. I have an 86 C30 with a 454, manual trans, Quadrajet with all the smog removed. The stock timing is 4 degrees before top dead center. Can the timing be set higher without any issues?

    I have an 86 C30 with the 454 that has AC. I want to switch it over to the newer R134 refrigerant. I'll be pumping it down to see if it will hold a vacuum. I want to use the compressor that is on it. What all is needed for the switch?

    It will be subject to the weather. Catawba, NC. I'm leaning towards a Urethane Primer and might just use that Rustoleum Turbo paint on it until I get ready to paint the entire truck.

    I'm going to prime my dually bed where someone before me sanding it down to the metal. I want to just prime it back for now, not painting it anytime soon. Which primer should I use? I know there are at least three types, Epoxy, Urethane and Acrylic.
