    me I'd go as solid line as you can. It should last longer and no risk of swelling.

    Installed the Monroe Load Adjusting coil overs (~$110) today as well as replacing the 35 month old aftermarket battery ($65....normally $95....gave me a break because it was still under warranty by a month).

    got a set of calipers for the 86 k10 a few years ago from Autozone. I purchased paint to paint them also as well as powerstop pads. Opened the box and they were painted silver already! Thought dang....save me some time will ya. Anyway, after replacing both, I'd never had brakes like that...

    I'm running Powerstop Z23 Evolution sport pads with no issues. Braking was a definitely better after installing these. Powerstop Z23

    reminder that cheap magnets from amaswan under the top side of the radiator support corners helps hold screws/tools. Careful putting them in....if they "snap" too hard, they'll break. Guide them in the direction they want to go. Very cheap vs the grumbling lol. Under Hood Corner Magnets

    not knowing an 8.1, but you couldn't use a 3 wire camaro sensor for the gauge and the ECM signal? They might be threaded differently than a 5.3....dunno. ...and you may have answered this already previously, sorry if you did.

    Future reference the MC's lasted just over 5 years with my driving. The Falkens feel great....maybe better than the MC's. Time will tell, and hopefully document here.

    Engine preoiler dirt cheap homemade.

    I used an old ac compressor tank for oil. Cleaned/flushed it put fittings on. Set to oil psi and go. Gonna make another one for gear oil/transfercase fluid. I used a medical grade helium tank for the fuel pump to test the LS on the stand.

    I stopped thinking about it. I'm getting ~12 mpg on a non-tuned LS stock ride height, 3.73 with 32" tires. Daily driver and any running within 75 miles.

    lol agree. Working on medical equipment, I can always tell who's lazy with the drill. The screws are half stripped and way too tight, or have been changed to a different screw. Right tool for the job.

    nothing meant, but if it aint ratchet wrench....I don't use it. I've got 2 sets....and I'll buy another set at the right price just before Christmas. Should be about $60 for gear wrench or Lowes brand for standard/metric set.
