Stolen truck found after 30 years

If you have the perseverance to pursue a truck for 30 years...yes I believe you can get all the parts. PIA, yes. I guess all choices are good. Problem seems to be now you have it back, what do you want to do? Yay for you though. Poor bastard that bought it, LOL.

What have you done to your square lately??

So, we put in a new cold case radiator, black, cause daughter wants it to look mostly stock. That wasn't quite enough to help the heat issue. So, we added a 7 blade 19.5" fan on the severe duty clutch we already had in there. Replaced the lower hose 1.75-1.75" and I shoved the old upper hose...

    Transmission line locations

Good info. Yes I'm looking at the "21" (overall is to top of cap  ), but the core is actually 18.80 height. Anyway, seems like I may have like 11/16" above and below core. But that may not be an issue looking at the core support. I just may have to "add" some rubber on top of saddle...

    Transmission line locations

Hmm, the core is 1.45 (7/16") shorter in height than my current. Did you run into that, or no? I can deal with hoses and transmission lines.

So...you like the cold case? I need to upgrade ours for the 454. I'd have to change to bigger end hoses and extend the upper trans cooling line. They have that in a weird location.

    BBC 489 build

Mann, compression on our 454 is like 9.5-9.7 The heat has been a killer.

I also gave her a spa by lubing all her joints, now I'm sore.

What have you done to your square lately??

Well, I got a brass one cheap from granger. RTV worked great! No leaks thus far. Although I didn't have big hose clamp on the neck tight enough for test drive and freaked out a little. Can't believe that.

What have you done to your square lately??

Turns out it's 3/4" instead of 5/8" hose. :( Guess it's not one I used before(left aluminum). On the net or make a trip.

I originally used an aluminum fitting, then a steel, should I just pooky the aluminum one up with the rtv? No automotive has brass near me. Opinions?

What have you done to your square lately??

Oh yeah, the gray rtv! Good idea! I'll go drain some coolant and clean up. Thx

What have you done to your square lately??

Darn, I cleaned up the threads the best I could and put Teflon tape on. Starting to leak again after awhile. This could be a long term disaster.

Those are sellable when (if) you do. Our 88 camaro has that combo. Road worthy driving is a fun, great goal. Enjoy!

    Add on and cruise control

That looks new with bracket. Where did you get? Do a pic of what it looks like at carb. Our truck's was originally on intake next to the TBI. I've seen a camaro TBI with cruze on the fender well. Curious.
