What have you done to your square lately??

Thanks. It's still a bit disheveled due to the passing of our folks (all 4 in as many years). We got all the "stuff" that siblings didn't want. Much of that is under the lean-to. It's a 30x60x12. & I love being able to use it about 8 months a year! HS

What have you done to your square lately??

I haven't done much at home. I've put a few hours in on the 78 K25 @ school & will share pics of that later. I've finally gotten back in my home shop really since August. Looks like I left it... HS

    454 Grille Badge

I have bought quite a bit of stuff from the Holley/Brothers clearance the last year. I actually got new 350 & 400 grille emblems as they were around $10. I didn't see any 454 or I'd bought a couple of those as well. @Rustisbest did a good job on his custom emblem and I'm certain that you could...

Dana 44, corporate 10 bolt front ends, 6 lug to 8 lug

Now I realize why I am a hoarder! I've got a D44HD ripped down and in the corner of the shop. I even have a set of the external "Selectro" hubs for it. Wow, new stuff is expensive! HS-hoardin' sumbich

1991 Suburban 3/4 ton: TBI to Holley Sniper conversion - stupid, or worth it?

I may do that when I get a few hours to devote to messing with it. Thanks for the info. I've been sorely disappointed with the Sniper on this car. HS

1991 Suburban 3/4 ton: TBI to Holley Sniper conversion - stupid, or worth it?

I've bought my (wife's) 80Z28 back a couple years ago. It has been "updated" with a Sniper since my building it 15 years ago & I'm very disappointed with it. There's a puny 20 gauge wire for the HEI & it has killed two distributors already. After buying this car back & running (initially) with...

    87 Chevy TBI IAC Troubleshooting

It ran but doing it horribly. Accessing the DLC with either a "Brick" or a paperclip it would only read "12". That code meant the ECM was accessed. At that point I knew how "fat or rich" it was running that there should be another code (at least 1) posted. Swapped ECM & it will now roast the...

    87 Chevy TBI IAC Troubleshooting

I used my Solus & a paperclip to diagnose mine. It would only post "12" letting me know the PCM had been accessed. I was fortunate enough to have another parts vehicle that had the same ECM calibration number. I swapped the ECM & cured my issue. HS

    87 Chevy TBI IAC Troubleshooting

Just did an ECM replacement on my '87. It ran super FAT at idle (iraddic) & would not remit any trouble codes. Swapped with another ECM & it strained the issue out. HS

What have you done to your square lately??

There comes a point to where you must decide "is this going to be a pavement princess or a useful truck". I'd much rather have a nice 20 footer than a truck that I had years into restoring and was hesitant to use. I posted a pic of mine yesterday and it's definitely a 20 footer. Most folks have...

It has new marker lenses. I used the new-fangled LMC "clear-out" style on this '87. I like them alright but will not use any on a '73-80 model. HS

Still no wash & cleaning but I did get the chrome wheels switched over to my Mickey Thompson”s. I’m pleased with the ride & look already.
