What fluid stains do your daily drivers leave?

NONE! I keep all aspects of the drive train in good repair and don't procrastinate when something does develop a problem, it gets fixed. I discovered early on that engine oil is much more efficient as a lubricant if it remains inside the engine. this applies to all other fluids as well!

What have you done to your square lately??

I've got something I need machined myself! I afro-engineered one out of a large PVC coupler but would much prefer a nice one machined out of aluminum! Used in conjunction with my air cleaner riser on a Holley to facilitate keeping my 3 barrel scoop centered on the riser and keep it from rotating!

    1992 GMC Suburban SLE

Yeah too bad @Snoots as I am offering a 50.00 discount to any GMSB member plus an additional 50.00 discount if they are a veteran off my advertised price on craigslist. Doesn't get much better than that!!

What have you done to your square lately??

Put some new seat covers in front today! I really like them! Sure brought some added life to the interior, going to get the matching one for the rear bench seat now.:drink_nl:

    1992 GMC Suburban SLE

Thank you! Yes it is solid and would make a really nice low cost ride for someone, even if it required a motor swap but I don't think that would be necessary. The interior is in unbelievable condition, it has obviously had a pampered life. And only 184,000 miles on the clock, barely broke in...

    1992 GMC Suburban SLE

Have decided to get rid of this as it's in my way and I'd rather spend time working on my square than this. Got it about 4 months ago and had planned on fixing it up to flip but have since changed my mind. I believe it has a blown head gasket ( water in the pan), but everything else is in pretty...

Thoughts & opinions on mounting speakers in front doors?

Excellent solution, kind of what I was thinking last night. Just took awhile for the idea to come through the fog. lol:cheers:

Thoughts & opinions on mounting speakers in front doors?

Would be the ideal situation but the speaker magnets project a good 1/2 inch past the bottoms of their enclosures so a circular hole is necessary in the panel.

Thoughts & opinions on mounting speakers in front doors?

So I come up with a couple of nice speakers and enclosures out of my '92' Suburban off the second doors. Have been giving this some thought over the last few days because by doing what I'm considering I have to cut into a perfectly good door panel so there's no going back after that. Just...

    Wood heater/stove. What y'all think?

Yes, totally agree! Most people, unless they have dabbled with welding or worked in the industry have no idea of what all is involved with a custom pit. When I first retired had a lot of people ask about building them a pit until I would give a ballpark figure of price. They seem to think you...

    Wood heater/stove. What y'all think?

Nice looking work and very useful in the shop, I need to get off my ass and throw something together similar to that for my man cave. Have no type of heat in there at the moment. Thanks for the inspiration!

What should I include in my emergency tool set?

What have you done to your square lately??

So true, but if it was easy everyone would be doing it which is what sets us apart from the herd!!! Takes lots of Blood, Sweat, and Tears and a ton of determination to bring one of these squarebodies back to it's true potential!! But when it's done you can stand back and look at it with pride...
