What is a LS going to do for you that the 400 can't do? People swap 350's and collect 400"s I heard that once here. I've had a few 400's and am sold on the torque that they produce.

My 6.2 does not like the cold but it sure likes the factory block heater. I have it on a timer. The quicker you can get the engine up to temp the better, gas or diesel.
You might want to experiment with initial timing. Try backing it off or increasing it 2 deg at a time and drive it for a couple of days. I usually end up at 8. You have to find the sweet spot for your engine.
I had a similar problem on my k10 diesel when i got it. A PO had put a PS pump with an AC double pulley on it with a non AC crank pulley as the truck is non AC.. They require totally different belts with different angles. I was looking in Rockauto at specs for the pulleys and belts when I...
You should install the hood reinforcement brackets before it gets damaged. I don't care how much lube you put on the hinges. Once it bends it's too late.
R-12 usually sells for $25 a can of Craigslist. Sometimes it sells even cheaper when the person doesn't know the value. I buy it when it's reasonably priced.
For $50 you can buy a 12 volt inflater with sealant to get you home and deal with it later. Rollbacks are usually about $120 in my experience. I carry no jacks or spares is any of my trucks. This scenario has become common in new vehicles as well.
I bought a 86 1/2 non turbo 5 speed theft recovered supra in '88. To this day that was my favorite car of all time. Smooth, powerful and great style. Black with tan leather interior. I wish I still had that car.
I can't remember the last time I had a flat. 30 or 40 years ago. I have 4 trucks, none carry a spare tire. I carry an 12volt inflater with sealant option in all of the vehicles. If that for some reason wouldn't work, It's rollback time.
You can buy the 2 1/2" pipes pre bent for over the axle and out the side on the net. I would suggest a local muffler shop for the engine to the mufflers. Don't waste your time or money on a crossover or H pipe, they produce minimal performance gains.
I have a complete '25 engine in my doodlebug,Presently stuck with atf and acetone in the cylinders. I am curious to its value as the doodlebug is just yard art and i would be willing to sell parts but don't know what the market for the engine would be.
