    Flush and new anti freeze with a new thermostat. Thermostat is probably hanging open.

    What kind of critter was it? You could cut some light sheet metal or plastic sheet, to fit inside the recessed areas or just a long strip over the whole side and screw it on with little self drilling screws. Something like that.

    I would think that you would go with what the tire says. The "max pressure" would be the highest that you would put, to haul the most weight. For comfort there is no reason to max them out for daily driving. I like to run most LT tires at 50 psi. P tires are usually 35 psi max.

    How are you going to get it on the tow dolley by yourself? Find somebody with a trailer and offer them a 100 dollar bill. Maybe somebody from the school.

    Very clean looking. How do you put the bed on with the pipe on top of the frame? At least you wouldn't have to move the truck around to the other side at the gas station to fill up both tanks. Just use the original pick up tubes/ sending units that feed from the top, if you can get the bed on there.

    My mind is blown. My K30 has a 14 bolt FF, of course, but so does my '84 GMC K20. Are you all sure that no K20s came with the FF? The option number on the tag for the axle is GU6; REAR AXLE-3042 RAT.

You are going to spend more trying to make mismatched things work together, than if you had found some wheels that fit the truck. And you would be happier with nice looking, correct fitting wheels.     Yes 16.5s are not very common any more. You can put 16s, 17s or 18s. I believe they came stock with 16" wheels. I like to keep them original, so my choice would be 16s. 17s and 18s are probably more common these days. I am not sure what would be the best priced size. I have 3 trucks with the...

    There is going to be some cutting involved. Once you cut it you cant put it back. Stick with what fits. What is your goal with that rig? It looks like it needs alot to make it road worthy. 35s will only compound the problems with that truck.

    My 2007 with 180k is an oil burning pig. 1 qt every 1000 miles. I have had it since new, and it has never missed an oil change. It runs great, other than the oil consumption problem. I hope it is as simple as the pcv. I will have to check that out.

    Worn out throttle shaft bore on the Q jet. Pretty common problem. They suck air around the shaft, and it makes them idle high. PITA to fix, you have to take the shaft out, drill them out and put a new bushing. I've never done one.

    We used to call it the summer heater, or something like that, "back in the day". It sucked to be the guy that had to ride in the middle. Oh well, we were Cruisin'. That is all that mattered. I don't think that my '85 does that like the '80 that we were cruisin back then.
