Spent this morning after breakfast polishing up the 16" dually hubcaps I got from Old77. They looked great when I got them but now they are blinding! These are going to really dress up my old pile of Junk!! :drink_nl:1st pic is as received, 2nd is after polish. -

Heat/AC vents
What all tricks do you guys use to tighten up the heat/ac vent thingies? Mine always point toward the floor now and will not stay adjusted. Trying to find out a better fix than the gum wrapper or matchbook cover folded up and sticking out. That's for teenagers! Looking for a way to fix them so... -

Fender emblem removal
Trying to pry these off will damage the emblem, if your lucky will only break the small nipple that the speed nuts attach to, but if that happens all is not lost. My truck didn't have emblems when I bought it so got lucky and found a set on fleaBay but as mentioned above the little nipples were...- Paladin

Lifting engine in place with carb studs?
Those manifolds were a first for me as well but I believe they are stock. This come out of the 86 C20 of @oldretiredafguy that I am working on and the truck is stock right down to the true dual exhaust with the original big round mufflers from the factory. The shape this truck is in is amazing...- Paladin

The feeling of sand in your eyes when they are burnt is actually jillions of tiny blusters raising on your eyeball! That's why they water so bad as the little blisters burst from movement of the eyelid! And there is no way to ignore the pain, heat, and irritation!!:cheers: -

I agree 100% with this! Learn the head nod and use a single shade lens. You know for sure that way that your eyes are protected when that hood drops. I welded for a living for over 30 years and the only time I ever burned my eyes was using a shop supplied auto- darkening lens. Frying your eyes...
