Hi all.
Have just joined. Live west of Johannesburg South Africa. I Have a lifted 89 k20 running a carburettor 350 four on the floor and 89 k5(project) still thinking about doing the LS route with the blazer.
I own a small resto shop. Currently building a 1957 3100 Chevy on a shortened k20 chassis. Ls1 motor/th350/no205.

Hi. We have local rhd c10/20/30's but parts I don't find I import from the US. Had FedEx deliver some groceries yesterday. Cross over steering system for the 57 build. And rear LS oil pan. The LS1 motors we have available here have front oil pans. Come out of the rhd Chevy lumina SS.
Both my Chevy's are LHD. I also have a 1995 Tahoe LT 4door as a everyday driver.

Can you get the simex tires over there? Kinda always wanted a set.

I would love to hear about some of the squarebody options that you have over there that we don't have in the US.

Hi there. Never seen simex tyres. Maybe on special order. I'll ask a buddy of mine who does alot of wheeling.

Our trucks were pretty much just the base models. Very limited in options. Most just had manual steering. No Aircon. And fitted with inline 6 motors. Also had different taillights. I'll find a pic. No side trim

Dealerships imported your LHD vehicles on special orders.
I know Botswana and Namibia had the LHD military trucks. I have a buddy that bought 20 of these on auction in Botswana. Some have very low mileage. But due to our LHD policy here we cant register (had to be on the system prior 2000). So they are only good for parts.

We fought long and hard to keep Rhodes falling to the communist terrorist. But the media will always mislead the world to the real truth.
Unfortunately South Africa is going the same route as Rhodesia.
